Yeah, so I pulled up to this store tryna get this thing called a besan laddu. They tasted like RAW besan. I mean, it tasted like it was barely cooked, and even looking at the laddu's before eating them as they were purchased made me feel like throwing up. I would not recommend you buy laddu's from this store ever. I went to return the said product, and the customer service worker declared the product quality was "very good", and refused to return the product. Terrible service. If I could, I would give it an HONEST 0/5. The laddu's are normally good, but this time they genuinely lost all support from me. We wasted $24 dollars! They looked like RAW yellow besan. Their products contain an unhealthy and high amount of sugar, and if customers continue to constantly and consistantly purchase products from this store, they will surely become diagnosed with DIABETES. The reason for this may be because their chef has found a more pleasing position at another store, and the replacement chef is clearly untrained by the looks and taste of the laddu. I was extremely disappointed, as I have been purchasing laddu's and other sweets from this store for almost half a decade. I will never go to this...

A GEM OF A PLACE WITH AN AMAZING ALL-FEMALE TEAM

Mangal Sweets is a wonderful spot that truly delivers on both food and service. From the moment I stepped in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made me feel at home. The Chola Bhatura was the best I’ve had in Adelaide—perfectly golden, soft, and just right.

I explained to the team how important it is to keep the bhatura golden and soft, with no distractions in the kitchen, as even a 30-second lapse can make them hard. They took this advice to heart, and the result was fantastic.

What stood out to me most was the fact that it’s an all-female team running the place. They were not only efficient but also kind and attentive, making the whole dining experience even better. It’s great to see such dedication and hard work in action.

If you’re in the mood for authentic Indian snacks and sweets, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back—and maybe grabbing some of their tempting...

Mangal Sweets, Hampstead Gardens — this was my first and last visit. I paid for 1 kg of Indian sweets, but the weight they gave me included the box. Once the packaging was taken out, the sweets themselves were nowhere near what I paid for. This is not an innocent mistake — it’s deliberate shortchanging, plain and simple.

When a business sells by weight, that weight should be for the product, not the packaging. Anything else is deceptive, and it shows a complete lack of integrity. Customers shouldn’t have to go home and weigh their food just to make sure they weren’t ripped off.

Trust is the foundation of any shop, and once it’s broken, it’s gone for good. I won’t be back, and I’d strongly urge others to double-check their orders — or better yet, take their money...
