Several weeks ago I attended the drive through and purchased 3 serves of hot cakes and coffees at a cost of in excess of $60 +. Upon arriving at the house I was visiting 2 minutes away, I found there were hot cakes or should I say cold cakes, however, no butter or syrup so plain, bland hot cakes. I contacted the store but due to the fact that I was babysitting small children, I was unable to return to get them. I was given a reference number and told that next time I came through to inform the staff that I was given a number and the meals would be replaced. The first opportunity I had to return was Tuesday the 18th of March as I don't live in the area. I was informed that I have already been in and redeemed the order/number. As this is the first time I have been back there I advised the staff member that I haven't been back and I most certainly have not redeemed the number. We discussed it and the staff manager said she would contact her manager. She came back to me a few minutes later and said no, you have redeemed your replacement order and I am not going to give it to you again. She outright refused to accept that I HAVE NOT BEEN BACK TO THEIR RESTAURANT SINCE THE COLD QUARTER ORDER DAY. I asked to speak to the Manager and she said 'I am the manager ' and I said no the manager you spoke to. She continually repeated herself and that she was the manager and insisting that I had redeemed the order. This was done in a raised voice and and very aggressive manner at the same time refusing to let me speak to her manager. I understand that people probably do try to go back again but I am almost 70 years of age and I do not work like that. The "manager " who by the way was called Sophie and as I have mentioned was aggressive. I was getting upset, I said I think there has been an error made and it has been crossed off by mistake which only infuriated Ms Aggressive Rude Sophie even more, I made the decision to leave. I said to her, she was rude and I won't be coming back here again to which she replied "good because you are not welcome here anymore anyway". I as sure as heck will not be going back there again. I usually go there probably once a month and spend in excess of $60 each time. That equates to approximately $720 per year x 3 years. I am appalled and disgusted that McDonalds are happy to let their employees treat customers in this manner and is a very sad indictment on society in this day and time. Obviously there is no respect for customers and customer service is sadly missing. I guess situations like this explain the 3 star rating. Read moreThis is a McDonalds I won't be going to, or ordering from again. I ordered two meals through Uber Eats. My uber member waited over 40 minutes for my order to be handed to him.
I had messaged the uber driver after I had seen him waiting there on the GPS for over 30 minutes to ask if McDonalds were actually making my order or not. He replied stating that he had waited around 30 minutes, it was actually over 40 minutes.
I told the driver no worries & apologised to him that he had to wait that long, because it's pretty pathetic. "Fast food", right? So I called the store & got an answer pretty quick. I wasn't rude to the staff member, I asked him "Hey I ordered through uber eats & my drivers been waiting over 40 minutes, is there any reason why it's taking so long?" The McDonalds staff member lied to me, he stated "It hasn't been that long, the order only just came through not long ago". He didn't ask what my order was or anything, he knew straight away. He knew it had been there around 50 minutes by that point. As I knew he was lying, I said "Well that's not true, I've been watching & seen my driver there for over 40 minutes & I messaged him & he told me he's been waiting over 30 minutes over 10 minutes ago" I was met with silence & asked again why it's taking so long. I'm allowed to klnow, the order was meant to take 30 minutes as the maximum according to the Uber Eats app. He said to me "We're just about to hand it to the driver now" so I said "ok thanks" and hung up.
My driver arrived promptly, literally a 6 minute drive, no time at all. My meal arrived & the drinks were both vanilla coke, I did not order vanilla coke & have a very strong feeling that the staff member I spoke to was being pathetic & intentionally poured Vanilla coke as our drinks.
So to anyone that's thinking about going to this McDonalds. Just know that they have management that are so petty, they will intentionally tarnish your meal & intentionally give you something you haven't ordered. They will lie to try cover up their incompetence or lack of care for their customer, I guess because I wasn't a front facing customer they must assume I don't matter as much?
