Sad to say no matter how many times I go to the Collinswood Maccas it tends to disappoint in some way. I understand it is a tough job to love but the staff just don’t seem to care and it is localised because every time I go to the Cumberland Park Maccas I enjoy my meal thoroughly. Last time they served me a grey coloured unidentifiable flavoured sludge which was meant to be a coke freeze. Now, what would you do as a worker? Mention to the customer the machine isn’t working and offer a a regular drink or serve a disgusting non-flavoured barely iced sludge? Luckily some staff have the mind to offer but some don’t care. A lot of little things become a big problem if they keep mounting… I’ve gone in and waited thirty minutes only to find they forgot my order while my partner who ordered after got food so our joint meal was totally out of whack. Sometimes I haven’t even been able to finish my meal as it was stale and they often use brown lettuce that you wouldn’t dare put on your own sandwich.
The store really needs a revitalization because the one at Cumberland Park blows it out of the water. I think most customers at the end of the day all we expect is what we paid for and for it to be made properly and in a timely manner with at least neutral manners but not rude. Most of the staff have been fine with me but the cleanliness, the execution of making the food and speed definitely need improvement as well as getting people to repair the ice machine as it is seemingly 9/10 broken at Collinswood. If you can’t have the thing ready at lunchtime what is the point having it on the menu?
I don’t like being critical but I think this restaurant needs to hear the impressions customers are leaving with after some not even being able to finish their meal. Some days you’re just at work because money, and that’s fine, but at least give customers what they asked for, pack things and hand them over properly and have the mind to not serve...
Read moreReally hot food at the right time of the day or night is always a bonus when your asked to drive ahead and park while they make your food it made my night complete and really is a great restaurant for quality
The computers for self service could be cleaned for oils etc abit more often though and maybe checking that they all work sometimes I have had no choice to not use them because they didn't work.
Really happy with how fast they take uber eats orders also but it would be better to connect to a driver straight away and make them be quick or loose the job opportunity is my thoughts because my food is always cold and ice in my drinks is melted when the uber guy doesn't think and puts it out in the cold without proper coverage or hot bag to keep the heat when they are on a bike trying to keep my food safe and warm is a no brainer if use a car.
If it's late at night around 8-9.30pm you will have an issue on a Sunday night I was served the worst burger I have ever had and also the reason I go atm is for the Mac Donald's peel and win monopoly game I love it but if it was sold out packages I wouldnt have bothered at all tonight to he honest they could have said they were too busy they even gave us cups that where not for the right drinks and also.... no ice but the frozen coke machine works ?
I would like to see the food service updated in the kitchen and seating areas inside as well as the self service is just being guessed by most people and if they would consider that if they target people that need help and show them the ropes a few months could lead to people not standing in line and stressing out the people using cash register I just know that the system is being guessed by everyone and the mac Donald's at gillies plains is some how alot cleaner and always has peel and...
Read moreDefinitely the worst McDonalds that I have ever visited. Wednesday's are a long day/night for me and it is the closest/only "fast" food that is on my way home, so with limited options and trepidation tinged with grim humour I visit once a week around 2130 to 22000, and have been doing so for approx 2 years. Having to continually repeat myself at the drive through speaker with little correlation between what I wish to purchase to what the order is interpreted as, meal served in blank robotic manner and often being required to park in bay and wait and wait. Paying by credit card I like to receive a receipt, this request is often ignored, not comprehended or followed by the server vanishing and not returning.
Last week while waiting the server developed amnesia and attempted to give me the meal for the next car instead of a receipt. Last night after repeating three times that I required a receipt (due to the girl requesting me to "have a good one" or some similar American banality instead, of realising I was communicating with her, I waited for several minutes before abandoning my quest for a receipt as I wanted to not spend any more time waiting for receipt.
Not the first time I've just given up though. There was the time that the server couldn't operate the printer to print a receipt, that was amusing. That time I asked him to just write down on a scrap piece of paper what the meal came to (call me weird but i l I ke to keep track of how much I put on my credit card) . He was unable to do so explaining to me that it would be unlawful !!! Must be an offence against the McDonalds Hamburger Act of 1975 or the Nuggets and Sundry Chips Regulations...
