Oh thank goodness, the traditional Aussie takeaway fish and chips and chicken shop survives - and in the case of Collinswood Chicken and Seafood, thrives!

With a fantastic range of takeaway chicken, chips, seafood, burgers, coleslaw and desserts, and staffed by the friendliest and hardest working team you are ever likely to see, this is definitely my go to place for an easy dinner, or a guilty pleasure daytime snack!

Located on North East road, it is handy to surrounding suburbs, as well as commuters on the way home from a hard days work. Parking is available as well as indoor and outdoor seating for the convenience of customers waiting for their order.

They are EXTREMELY popular, so I would suggest you ring ahead, but if - like me, you just walk in, the service is fast enough that the wait is not long.

I've been coming here for years and always loved their food. However there is a girl that works there now (long hair, fake eyelashes) and she is the absolute rudest person I've ever had serve me. She never smiles, never greets you, just glares at you and gives one word answers with the most sullen look on her face. I've always wanted to support the business considering the fish shop that opened up and the lack of Foodland. However, I refuse to subject myself to her attitude anymore. She is unbearable. The only time she is on the edge of being polite is if the owner is out the front with her. The final straw was going in to order schnitzel and she was dealing with dirty boxes. She went straight over without washing her hands and picked up the schnitzel and then flattened it with her hands. How about some...

I ordered an AB Yiros today from this shop. When I came to order, the person at Point of Sale is like I am from Uber Eats or Menulog. The person asked me if I am here to pick up food for Uber. I said no I am here to order and I asked the person if there is any problem with that. I should say you should better train your staffs to attend to customers.

And now with food, I had better Yiros from other shops. There was not Pita bread or rice and the meats were not done correctly. There was no salad either. I guess it was better to order Chips and meat rather than an AB Yiros.

I can’t talk about any other food as I only have Yiros and Chips from here. On a good note, the chips were really good and crispy. Also the price was fair.
