Loyal Customer for Years, Humiliated and Disrespected - My Friend Was Treated Appallingly
I was there for lunch with my friend and her baby, and I am absolutely heartbroken and furious about the way she was treated. My friend is a loyal customer who has been bringing her family to this restaurant for years, and I have never witnessed anything so cold, aggressive, and frankly, appalling.
We were having a lovely lunch, and her baby was in a high chair. As is completely normal when a baby is eating, a tiny, minimal amount of food, mostly rice dropped onto the floor. We’re talking about a mess that any staff member could sweep up in two minutes once we had left.
However, the owner approached us while we were still eating and, in a very public, loud, and aggressive manner, made a huge scene. She declared this minimal mess a ‘work health and safety’ issue, grabbed a broom, and then, most shockingly, placed a yellow caution ‘wet floor’ sign right next to my friend’s baby’s high chair.
My friend was completely mortified and immediately started to clean up the floor herself, feeling absolutely terrible. I told her to stop, saying the owner's overreaction was ridiculous. The owner had already succeeded in publicly shaming her and completely ruining our meal.
When we went to the counter to pay our $50 bill, my friend was in tears from the embarrassment and humiliation. I politely addressed the owner, saying she didn't need to make such a big deal and had made my friend cry. My friend spoke up and said, ‘I’ve been coming here with my family for years, and I’ve never been treated like this.’
The owner was completely unsympathetic. She defended her actions, saying the small mess was "disgusting" and that the way the floor looked was "disrespectful." She even had the audacity to claim she has four children who ‘have never made a mess,’ completely dismissing the reality of being a mother dining out.
To see my friend, a long-time customer, treated with such hostility and zero empathy, over a tiny, normal mess made by a child, was an insult. The owner's behaviour was over-the-top, rude, and frankly cruel.
I am appalled by how she treated my friend and will never recommend this restaurant. We will not be bringing our business back here.

We came to the store and found a clean table to sit down, but the waiter insisted that we sit down at another table because our table had already been cleaned, so should we sit at another table that has not been cleaned? Then the waitress gave us a rude attitude, she dropped the menu and went away straight away, she kept servicing customers at the front desk and ignore that we wanted to order. We tried to wait at the front desk to order but was told that we have to order on the table. Why can't we order at the front desk and must order at the table? If there are always customers at the front desk. We won't be able to order forever. Later, another old rude woman came and said she didn't believe that we tried to order and said she is going to check the surveillance first. The old rude woman said we totally waited 9mins. But the truth is we never said we waited for a long time. What we said is you have a terrible service and rude attitude, also ignored our order request by purpose. I brought up an issue with my dish, as the chicken was full of tough tendons and impossible to chew. Instead of offering a solution or showing concern, she simply took the plate back to the kitchen and returned shortly after, telling me there was nothing wrong with the chicken.
Her dismissive and rude response to my feedback was incredibly frustrating. It’s unacceptable for a restaurant to treat customer concerns in this way. Good customer service means listening to feedback and addressing issues, not dismissing them. This experience left a bad impression, and I won’t be returning.
