Ordered one karaage curry rice and Salmon Zen Reviews below are solely to this two meals We ordered two traditional Japanese food For the Karaage Curry Rice, the rice is not cooked in pearl rice which is deemed to be a basic technique and requirement for japanese cuisine. Karaage's crispy coating was too thick. Traditionally it should be quick dipped into the crispy flour mixture and pick it out for most of them to run off from the surface before fried. Eggs are supposingly half-cooked but it comes in well done. A bit disappointed. For the curry part I have no much comment and the spicy level is not what Japanese Curry is. Salmon Zen The Salmon sushi is soso and the California roll is never a fail job for every restaurant. The rice used is pearl but the quality is far from Japanese standard. The rice is too loosen for the rolls and the rices used on salmon sushi is very sticky like having Chinese sticky rice. Haven't tried out the vietnamese cuisine here but their appearance looks good. Not recommended if you are coming for japanese food. It is not resemble or not even closed to japanese style.

Been to Ipho Vietnamese restaurant many times before but first time went there since they merged with Mobara. Vietnamese options are very limited there and the food there was ok but had no yumm factor in it. To eat Vietnamese cuisine, probably I will not go there again but may be there is a chance to go back to this restaurant to try Japanese food. Staff was friendly, atmosphere was nice but the table where we sat wasn’t clean properly, it was very sticky. I had to leave a tissue on the table to rest my hand. I didn’t bother asking the staffs to clean it again as they took so long to respond for one of our missing order. Hopefully if I go there next time (may be) to try their Japanese food, the experience will be better..

I walked into this supposed Japanese restaurant with high expectations, but was left confused and disappointed when my ramen and laksa tasted like they came from the same pot. It was definitely not worth the $20 price tag for a fancy bowl of mediocre noodle soup. Even the rare beef combination Pho couldn't save the meal. It's a shame that the new owner doesn't seem to care about the quality of the food or the satisfaction of their customers. Maybe they should stick to one cuisine instead of trying to be a jack of all trades, master of none.

When iPho was it’s own thing. At the start of it, it was great, was one of my go to places, than it was ok and then it was pretty bad… Then it became apart of Mobara… well.. Ok so.. I have been coming back to Mobara multiple times actually, giving it benefit of the doubt many times, hoping they have changed or just did better than the last experience every time. Myself, friends and family have gone here many times before, at the start when it opened, it was pretty good.. now… well…

Now to tell you guys, if you are looking for Vietnamese food, go elsewhere. Want Japanese food, go elsewhere.

I am pretty confused with this place actually. Not sure what they actually serve anymore. One time I ordered Pho and the bowl of soup was actually so disgusting I wanted to vomit. I walked off. The soup colour was dirty, the fat and oil was covering the bowl and the colour was like mud. This isn’t Pho. I have had plenty and this ain’t it. The vegetables they served up was dried, old and stale and to mention it looked off. They are not usually always busy, they prepare the food and leave it there and it gets all dried and old. They assume I don’t know… no, people know. People who loves Pho.. knows. That’s so bad.. like why would you serve up a bowl of dirty looking soup and old veggies. You know the meat didn’t even look fresh and it smelt so bad. Ok, now that’s just one of the reasons. There’s a lot more and I could go on… seriously.. the food does not even taste that great like it use to. It use to be good and enjoyable and very presentable. Now they just serve up whatever. Anyway, I’m saying that.. I hope it has changed since. That’s just my experience that I was...

I used to come here alot and the waiters knew we were the usuals for sushi & sugar cane drink. Now iPho had come back to run the place , the menu changed and the food is bad !!! So i stopped coming for a long time , today i went in for 2 sugar cane drink and the guy tells me which straw they give out for it , i knew something was going to happen because they gave the usual straws not the one with the sharp bottoms like chatime gives....

So i decided we will put it in inside the resturant and it popped the first cup everywhere & they offered to fix things up, now the second one popped under the cup and came pouring out like a tap for a good 3 seconds till my partner stopped it by holding it with a tissue and when we told them they started yelling saying it was our fault & they wont give me another drink to replace the second one.

Give out proper straws !!!!! Now if i was in the wrong , you think ill let yous keep my $14.14 ? Check your cameras if you think im lying !

The right thing would be to give me my refund but knowing vietnamese , i wont see that money back so it could go towards writing this review !

Worst customer service ! At least i hope you check your...

Food was underwhelming. Ordered the roast pork and egg fried rice which was good but vegetables such as cucumber and tomato on the plate were dried out. Pork wasn’t really crispy and lacked flavour but the rice was really well done. The karage chicken curry rice was okay. Not crispy and not enough sauce for the massive amount of rice served on the hot stone plate which evaporated the sauce even more. Lastly the pork ramen was so sad. No flavour in the broth, given four massive pieces of thick cut pork which were like 1.5 cm thick which were also really fatty and got sickening to eat really fast. Used to thin sliced chashu with my ramen, this didn’t fit my preference. Also served in a hot cast iron bowl so the noodles got over cooked and soggy. The portions here are absolutely massive so if you have an appetite and don’t really care for flavour and looking for a bargain, this is the place. I would’ve preferred a smaller portion with better flavours and more attention to prep. Prices were average and settings was nice but our table was sticky and cutlery had dried onion stuck on it. Service was great from one server and miserable...
