A wonderfully and surprising delightful Japanese restaurant. As someone who has eaten food all over Japan and been constantly disappointed with the quality of Japanese cuisine in Australia, I can happily say this is the closest I've gotten to authentic Japanese outside of the country. Whilst the focal point of the restaurant is the conveyor belt sushi (delicious and fresh in it's own right) the restaurant offers a large selection of other meals such as donburi bowls and ramen. After gorging myself on a large selection of sushi I stuffed myself silly on a pork ramen which left nothing to be desired. With incredibly friendly and attentive staff, a beautifully decorated and constructed restaurant and almost authentic Japanese food, I'll certainly be back again soon.

If you like traditional Japanese sushi, make sure you come to Nujiyaka! Fresh, delicious Japanese sushi is served here with reasonable prices. The best thing at sushi train is that you don't have to worry about forgetting the name of your favorite sushi, just choose the sushi you like on the train! Also use ipad to reorder your favorite sushi and it will be served you very soon. If you like traditional Japanese style, I would recommend salmon or Terriyaki beef sushi with beef tataki and salmon sashimi! They also have an innovative bun with cucumbers and fresh ingredients, yummy!!! I can't wait to come again!

Store closes at 9pm. I called at 8:32 to ask if any pre made sushi was left as I expected the kitchen to be closed. The women over the phone seemed hard at understanding my question but told me there was plenty left and they were still open. I arrived at 8:42, called the store as I noticed the lights off, they answered and proceeded to laugh and say they were shut. This is why Kintaro sushi will always be better 😭 Edit : the owners response is inaccurate, I called at 8:43 out the front of the store after I was told it would be open for another 20 minutes. Extremely unprofessional response

DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT. Fraudulent reviews. Extreme harassment of customers. Insults. Reported to centre management.

after reviewing here, google prompted me to review the places I have been recently. never heard of someone travelling to Melbourne? Now you are stalking my other reviews. Im not going to post a review immediately - you guys have no professionalism, I have reported you to centre management due to the extreme harassment you have given myself and my partner. This would have been avoided if you just accepted we are real people.

They are having staff/friends post very obvious fake 5 star reviews of their establishment in bulk to hide the negative ones. They even delete and repost them. Have screen shots of this. It's illegal and against Google terms and policies. Good food should speak for itself, not dishonesty.

I have never worked at your shop, it's embarrasing you don't think you can get any negative reviews from locals who preferred previous management. You said you would have your lawyer find me, and I said I would provide documents when they do.

If you threaten me legally again, instead of acting mature and taking responsibility, I will be posting screen shots of your fraudulent reviews, and notifying google services.*

final reply I will gladly email every single bank statement from my partner and myself dining at your restaurant- many times since new management group has taken over - when your lawyer contacts me. I would have gladly changed and removed my review if you had replied with any professionalism. Nothing I initially said was rude, it was genuine feedback for my experience. I will leave it in your hands if you wish to change your tone and reply differently. *

I do not know who you think I am, but this is a genuine review, I am a legitimate customer..you even recently posted there is a new management group. It is not illegal to provide a review. Very disappointed you chose to reply like this, very unprofessional.

UPDATE Since replies are not available, absolutely DISGUSTED by the reply by the owner of this establishment, threatening to call the police because I did not enjoy the changes made to the food or the quality! You should be ASHAMED of that reply. I have been a paying customer here for years, and I will NEVER come here and will loudly be posting to ALL my social media's - not to go to your establishment due to your reply to me on this. *

Previously this had to be one of (if not the best) sushi places in adelaide. Unfortunately since new management has come in, the quality has changed drastically. Have tried multiple times to give staff a chance to settle in and make adjustments, but there is always something disappointing about the food or service.

Most recently, it was all stone cold and rubbery. It is significantly smaller than it used to be (meats in particular), everything seems to be covered in cheese when it doesn't match at all. They will drown food in mayo or other sauces too.

Most disappointingly, my favourite menu items changed, and still don't match the pictures from previous owners. Hope all the previous staff didn't all lose their jobs to bring in a...

additional edit for second owner reply Have you considered the fact that my partner and I are BOTH disappointed with the change of quality in food? We are both well within our rights to leave an honest review here, as customers that have spent literally thousands of dollars in this restaurant over the past few years. Also, the number of 5 star reviews that are coming through as we are having this exchange looks very suspicious. Just saying.

edit for owner reply Threatening reporting to the police over a disappointed review is not a good look. I'm not quite sure what else you're trying to say there, but the change in quality of food has been distinctly noticeable since the change of management - which was posted about by your page roughly 2 months ago.

Used to come here at least once a week, often twice a week, for the last few years. Was my favourite sushi train in SA by a long shot. However, since the new management took over a few months ago, it's now just another average sushi place, at best.

I gave it a fair chance, too. Having been around 8 times since the new management/owners. The entire staff changed (7 or so people) from the apparent last day of the previous management, to the 'new opening' a few days later, which meant that everything had changed. Food portions were smaller, ingredients weren't of the same standard, and most importantly (to me), my favourite menu item had completely changed. The pictures and name of it were the exact same, but it was half the size and a very different tuna roll.

Every single time I've been back since the new management took over, I've been disappointed for multiple reasons. Karage drowning in mayo, mushy teriyaki chicken, small portions, and cold food. And their 'new menu' is mostly just stuff with grilled cheese on it. No thanks.

I can safely say I've given up on what once was my favourite sushi place. I've given them enough time and chances for it to improve, and return to what the place once was, but my partner and I will be finding a new sushi place to become...
