Great food, very disappointing service.

My friends and I booked a table and attended at the booked time. As the table was not yet ready we were invited to grab a drink and sit outside. We stood at the counter for 5 minutes before someone decided to serve us and take our drink orders.

When the table was ready we moved there and waited for menus and to have our orders taken. A considerable amount of time passed, including seeing other diners arrive and receive menus/have their orders taken. Eventually, 50 minutes past our booked time, we called one of the wait staff over to ask if we are supposed to order at the counter or if our order will be taken at our table. This prompted someone to finally take our orders.

It then seemed as if our orders were forgotten as it took another 40 minutes for our food to arrive. The orders were not complicated; three pizzas and a pasta dish. This was very disappointing as we had been waiting a long time to be served and then had to wait another long time to receive our actual orders. The considerable delays meant we had to cancel the activity we had planned for that evening.

The food itself was nice, but the experience was marred by...

This place is my new favourite restaurant in Kent Town! Incredibly fresh ingredients, warm and welcoming service and a relaxed ambience inside. Me and my friends started the night with fresh, hot and crunchy zucchini fries which was an excellent salty start. Following this, we had ordered two pizzas: mushroom ragu and the Spicy Boy with chilli honey. The mushroom ragu has a predominant mushroom presence and matches the cheese base well. The salami and chilli honey from the Spicy Boy created a lovely salty and sweet experience. Both pizzas were an excellent size, with a fresh dough cooked to perfection. The gnocchi was a fluffy, creamy dish, and was matched with a fresh crunch from the broccolini. The dessert calzone was an intense sweet flavour, with a warming and firm texture from the nuts, and the tiramisu had a slight bitter cocoa notes cut through with a sweet, well...

I can pretty much guarantee the majority will find something they like on the pizza menu. The sour dough pizza crust is amazing and is the perfect combo of soft/crunch.

GF and Vegan options available.

As far as the pasta and other items I have not got past the pizza yet, it is too tasty, but others I have spoken to have enjoyed it. All items are well priced.

The wine menu is well thought out with nice options the majority will enjoy.

There is both indoor and outdoor seating as well as takeaway options.

What they do...

The ambience was cosy for dinner with family coming from overseas. We ordered 4 pastas and 3 pizzas to share amongst 6 adults and 2 kids, and were all well fed. Started with the eggplant fries, the batter was very well seasoned and they were crispy on the outside, and juicy inside. The pesto pizza was amazingly good and is highly recommended. Pasta dishes with cream were outstanding, and the Bolognese is also good, but personally we all enjoyed the cream ones better. Reasonably priced deliciously cooked food. Will definitely revisit.
