We attended my husbandâs work Christmas party at this place last night. It was a booked group function that was held at their outdoor area.
The weather yesterday was hot, the venue was not equipped for that, the area is enclosed in between concrete buildings, no air flow, very hot and yet not even a single fan provided.
Thereâs no one dining in the inside area, they didnât even offer that. We asked a number of times if they can provide even a single fan, they made us felt like we were asking for an impossible thing.
All of us, and thereâs more than 50 people cramped in that tiny area, weâre suffering from the extreme heat and weâre all dressed up for the party.
We couldnât appreciate the food, most were not eaten because it was just too hot to eat and we are all ordering drinks left and right, even though their prices are a ripped off, just because thatâs the only thing can help us cool a tiny bit. The tap water provided was warm.
Even their workers were suffering, I donât think it is a safe working condition for their employees.
Why would you accept a group booking and will not provide a conducive and comfortable venue???
Most of us couldnât wait for the feed me menu to finish (they were paid for weeks in advance) so that we can leave.
All an all, the company of friends and coworkers are awesome but ruined by the venue, hard to enjoy, too much suffering in the heat, where some might have been suffering mild heat stroke.
Never going back to this venue again, and will not suggest to host any...
Read moreI visited G+G today for a work meeting where we ordered food and drink, the staff were very friendly. Unfortunately, myself and a colleague of mine have allergies and requested specific ingredients on our meals be taken off or substituted (feta on mine for a dairy allergy, eggs on hers). When the orders arrived at our table they'd been plated incorrectly with just egg on one, and bacon with feta on the other. The waitress apologized and said she'd swap them over, but we didn't realize she meant literally. The ingredients were literally swapped between our plates, there was still cheese amongst the salad on my meal which had caused me to have a reaction- and my colleague felt unwell after her meal as well assuming the eggs had been picked up and moved to my plate instead by the kitchen staff. Despite this mix up, and having both of our allergies triggered it was nice enough food and kind service. Just want to provide feedback to the staff that for allergies please don't just shift food from one place to another. Thankfully, neither of us have life threatening responses but if this happens to others that might, I'd...
Read moreThis review is not for the previous business called G+gracin. It's for 78 on Rundle, after a change of ownership and name.
First the positives. The atmosphere is great. Indoor and outdoor seating is available which is especially niceon sunny days. The menu is decent. Not overly large but they offer the expected items found on most cefe menus. They have gluten-free bread. Staff are friendly s
But unfortunately the food and drinks are very low average. Scrambles eggs are microwaved and rubbery. No flavour, no salt or pepper. Mediterranean salad had fresh ingredients but again no flavour. The dressing was non existent. Shoestring fries were over cooked but at least they were palatable. The avocado on toast was quite nice.
Chai latte was very milky with minimal chai flavour. We asked for it to be a little stronger but it arrived in a similar condition as the first. Not sure why they gave us remade lattes in takeaway cups. Was it because they didn't want to use up more milk because it seemed smaller than the...
