Had the Red Berry Espresso on my coffee shop list for some time and just had to give it a crack. I'd read some reviews suggesting that the barista was a bit sarky so I was intrigued to find out for myself. I was greeted and served by a very polite fella so that was a good start. The store is visually very nice and you can tell there's been some thought gone into the design obviously by a person who loves and appreciated coffee. I was told that they roast a variety of different beans from all parts of the world which they change daily. So you can try a different coffee depending on what day you go which is a nice touch. The young staff are friendly however have had a couple of bad experiences with the owner serving me in the past, mixed with pretentiousness and / or arrogance. Shame someone who is apparently passionate about coffee can not share that enthusiasm in a positive way with patrons. I once asked about the roast types and was told the only right way to toast coffee was a medium roast. But those that roast themselves know that it’s not that simple - a shame he’s missing out on potential for rich, diverse flavours by being narrow minded. Read morePerhaps the best coffee Ive ever had. Let that sink in for a minute ... you could have the best coffee that you have ever had, and its right here in Adelaide. Its one of these things that needs to be experienced for yourself just to understand how good these guys are at their craft.
