I ordered a Vietnamese combination banh mi. Compared to the ones I’ve had before many places, the bread itself was quite disappointing. A fresh banh mi usually has a crisp, flaky crust that breaks apart easily, and a light, airy interior. This one, however, had a bit chewy crust and a dense interior and dry, lacking that signature texture. As for the fillings, they were surprisingly sparse. For the same price, I’ve had banh mi at other places northern suburbs with at least double the amount of filling. The value of $10 just didn’t match up. As for the environment, there’s no indoor seating—just two small tables located right outside, very close to the supermarket parking lot. In summer, it can get quite hot, which makes the experience even less comfortable. Not worth a second visit.

Stopped for lunch there today. Ordered a combination Banh Mi roll. The one thing I did get was the roll. It's never a good sign when you have to open the roll to even see any fillings. Very stingy. What WAS in there (deep in there) wasn't very nice either. Oh well. Won't be going back.

The extra chillies really gave it a really good hit in the mouth. Very well made with just the right amount of ingredients made this Bahn Mi extremely tasty. People didn't have to wait long and the staffs really worked well together.

I don't normally get anything with chicken however today was an exception. As I arrived to the store and proceeded with my order I had unfortunately succumbed to the news that the roast pork was all but sold out. As my appetite needed satisfying I compromised and went against my regular anti chicken values and conceded by ordering the lemongrass chicken. Perhaps my strict views on chicken are inappropriate in this day and age because this establishment proved my regular values wrong. The lemongrass chicken was fabulous. The lovely, subtle but noticeable lemongrass aromatic flavour was a far cry from the regular, tasteless dry chicken I so despise. The roll was crispy, flaky but robust enough to haul all the ingredients and not fall to a soggy defeat by the sauce and moist ingredients. A substantial serving of pickled carrot helped balance the richness and add a refreshing addition. Moreover the traditional condiments often associated with a Banh Mi were applied and rounded off to complete the sandwich. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed the lemongrass chicken Banh Mi, and I shall endeavour to taste another in the near future to ensure this was not a one off...

I'm so confused with the negative reviews here. I've been eating here for the past few years and only ever had excellent service and food from here their rolls are always fresh and food is always tasty

I'm actually a chef and if I was being EXTREMELY picky I could say I'm not a fan of the Coriander salks and some time the pork is a bit on the dry side but both these things are completely normal and common things to happen but that's being picky even then I still love it. It's just a good around place to eat

If you havnt tried it...
