I just wanted to end the discussion without leaving review, however, the way i was treated, after being politely complain about my food to so called owner, I decided not to pay for the food made me sick and vomited twice in restaurant. I ordered duck Ragu, the taste and smell were awful and made me sick so i puked them, there. Then I decised only to pay for my drink, and to show them my concern, I avoided to pay for myself and my partner. And the reason i stayed there was to respect to my friend' birthday. A friend of mine as well could not eat the same food. Story began, when we decided to take the plates to counter and talk to owner or manager, she started to question me and offered me another plate, I was feeling sick so I did not accept and 10 min after I vomited twice. When I avoided to pay for me and my partner, she angrily came to me, and said, implotely, you took plate to me and you should call me to your table and i dont understant why not to pay. And surprisingly, she said "that is fine, here is my home and you should not come back ever here".
This is the treat of a restaurant owner instead of making a customer who had been polite to her, happy. Tonight experience was unique for me, I have never been in my life in a situation to throw up in a restaurant because of the food.
Food, itself, (the dish we ordered "Pappardelle Duck Ragu") was disgusting in taste and smell that much made me sick. Pizza was so average, that you can find me better one in dominos.
Question is: who knows an owner, instead of fixing an issue, asks a customer not to come back? And mor interestingly, (really) even after vomiting, I should go back there.
I am so sorry, for my self and my friend birthday, held in that restaurant.
Once again, i decided to write review after the way she treated at the end, when I avoided to pay for disgusting food.
It can be intresting case for health authority, realy.
To be honest, this restaurant is not Italian at all, although all foods have...
Read moreAs the Polar blast hit Adelaide today we were cozily cacooned in this wonderful newly opened ltalian cuccina on Unley Rd, Parkside, just 5 mins from Adelaide. Apart from the coziness, well lit and inviting ambience, this place had a great buzz and vibe. All around diners were seen really getting into their servings delicious meals. The menu and wine list was great and not huge, and pricing looked suprisingly appealing! We all shared the superb antipasto entrè with the yummy big ball of fresh goats cheese, full of lovely ltalian mortadella, hams etc.. There's a huge waft and selection of stunning pizzas to select, the spaghetti Marinara was a big winner on our table...Calimari l devoured was the best lve ever eaten out and l'll be back soon for this! Dolci was scrumptuos, Panna cota, Tiramisu home made and 'fresh as' was cleaned up in rapid speed. Our server Sergio was rapid, attentive as and proactive. The welcomed warmth from the proprietor Sam Izzo working the tables was like being with family, genuine and caring. We loved everything about this new slick Unley eatery, we will be back very soon, and look forward to their brekky and lunches as well. Best wishes to Svago, great team and...
Read moreToday was a moment where you kick yourself for not realising that such a sensational establishment like Svago existed until you visit for the first time.
Fresh, made on premises pasta. Local SA produce, staff who immediately make you feel as if you were family (and not the in laws sort of family - talking proper familia here). Open and fresh layout where you can see the masterpiece that will be your food being lovingly prepared by the chef. While I am at it.. Brett - I wanted something different.. something special. And you delivered.
For the record, I had a fettucini with rose cream sauce, light yet effective chilli added and a sensationally fresh blue swimmer crab.
I've not eaten Italian cuisine this special since touring Cinque Terre. What was otherwise a ordinary Thursday business lunch became something special - hence the extravagant and comprehensive review.
I will recommend to all and sundry.
My only complaint? There was nothing to complain about! That and the total silence as everyone inhaled their food.
Will...
