Unfortunately we did not have a great experience here today. We came in on our lunch break which is 1 hour long - usually plenty of time to eat in Blackwood as we are locals. We were not greeted to start with and could not find menus, there was only 1 person working and he was doing the cooking, taking of orders & cleaning all on his own. Once we were ready to order we were made to wait at the counter for a long time although the chef could see us he was busy cooking. When we did get served and put in our order we were told that some things weren't available and that our order was one of them. After having waited 15 minutes already to order we decided to stay and ordered something else. The drink I ordered was expired in January of 2021. There were 2 people ahead of us awaiting their meals and our food was still not out at 1.20pm - 45 minutes after our arrival. We then went to the counter and asked if our meals could be put in take away containers as we were running late to get back to work. We were told no because the takeaway containers are too small? Which is a bit odd for a cafe that offers takeaway and these were regular items on their menu. Then we we were told maybe one of the meals but not the other. We were eventually told it would be put in a takeaway container. We spent our entire lunch break waiting for food so were unable to eat. Once we did get to eat, the food tasted good but the chicken was burnt, the vegetables had grease dripping from them and the rice was dry. The 1 person who was doing everything was clearly overwhelmed hence the quality of the food was sub-par. The service was disappointing, the time it took was not acceptable and overall it was a very poor experience. Unfortunately we will not...

New owner, exciting new Egyptian menu (the only place serving Egyptian food in Adelaide) and new décor. The place is very cozy. Its off the main road, so its more private. A great place to eat, drink and relax with friends or family or have a quite time by yourself. The food is amazing. They have a range of classic Australian food as well, like big breakfast, homemade soup etc and a range of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free food. Plenty to choose from for yourself and the kids. There is a kids corner with all sorts of toys. The undercover area outside is comfy and ideal for people bringing their pets. Staff are very friendly and provide good service. Makes people feel welcome and it feels more like going to a friend's/family's place for hearty home cook meals...

My husband and I went to The Little Leaf and Been Cafe and spend a relaxing morning sitting outside in the sun☀️. The owner, Taz, was very welcoming and friendly, made us a really nice coffee ☕ and had a selection of honest yummy food on the menu for breakfast and lunch (including vegan, vegeteranien and gluten free options).

We brought our dog with us, we saw others come with friends, kids or bikes... Taz catered for us all. I had an absolutely amazing omelette for breakfast there (it filled me up for most of the day), others had delicious pancakes, Egyptian Big Breakfast with tofu (veg/vegan) or just freshly roasted coffee.

Taz serves it with a caring smile and...

This is a lovely little cafe tucked away from the main road. The assortment of Egyptian food is delicious, especially the Egyptian breakfast and Koshari. You can wash down the scrumptious food with great coffee, I would especially recommend the Vietnamese iced coffee. The new owners have recently done up the place and it has a very welcoming ambiance. Lots of tables outside and heaps of place to park your bike if you ride. If you are looking for something a little different this is the place to go!
