Thida Thai restaurant — Restaurant in Adelaide

I have dined and had takeaway multiple times from here. The food is reasonable for (predominantly white ppl) Blackwood area. However, the most recent occasion we dined, the waitress who served us was blatantly making fun of my partner and I. She was laughing at us while taking our order and then speaking in Thai to her colleague and looking and pointing at us. She was still giggling while serving our food and drink. I was so shocked and embarrassed that I started crying and shaking. Never in my life have I had this kind of treatment. I have also worked in hospitality, so am always kind and considerate of hospo staff.

Paya Thai restaurant staff are ALWAYS lovely and food is MUCH better (less salty due to lack of tears), 100% worth the drive...

EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE (Short version-same night!) Ordered deliv via Menulog (not app). Aft waiting an hr, called Mlog who said it was delivered 35mins prior.. not to me it wasn't! Said will refund 1st ord & to ord again, so I did. 'Anoth hr' later, still no food. Called Mlog, told no driver to be found by which time on Google, this restaurant (+ all other Thai options) stated closed. I called Thida Thai on off chance. Was told, although kitchen just closed, chef will re-fire just for me & staff will personally deliver on their way home, which they did! VERY much appreciated THANKYOU & every bite worth waiting for, 'especially their beef...

We visit this restaurant to dine in regularly, but will be thinking twice about it now. Yes, food is nice, but most Thai restaurants are excellent, however the staff are rude and have little interest in serving you when you dine in. If you stay longer than 9pm chatting, they sweep around your feet! I think they take it for granted has they are the only Thai restaurant locally. We will be travelling down to Payathai now, as they are lovely and appreciate your patronage. Also frequenting the new takeaway place in the Foodland...
