Bami Blackwood — Restaurant in Adelaide

Ordered pocket roll from catering menu to cater for our party and organised to pick up at 1230PM. Paid in advanced (2 days before the day), charged me $84 when the menu price is $80- but all good, I just let it go with this.

On the day for pick up, luckily my partner arrived 10 mins early and they couldn't find my order. No apology whatsoever but to blame on the management that they were not told with the order. This is such a poor service when you make a mistake or an error, you should fix this but instead putting on a blame on someone else and management.

They didn't even cut the banhmi when menu described and email confirmed that the banh mi is to be cut into half but instead, they just put them all in the bag asked my partner that we can cut the banhmi ourselves.

We have never experienced this kind of service and this is really poor. Food is just average as well. Never go back to this branch and would no recommend.

Bami at Daw Park offers much better service and staff are friendlier.

UPDATE- Manager of the store, Ray is very helpful and professional. Can only give 5 start for the manager....

We have tried Bami Blackwood a number of times hoping for an improved experience but unfortunately all times have been somewhat disappointing. We decided to give them another go and ordered the beef Pho for the family to have there.

The shop looked quite dirty from the outside and it didn’t improve much inside. The tables and floor were sticky, condiment bottles had sauce all over them, when we asked for soup spoons, they only had one and encouraged the other four of us to use take away cardboard spoons. When we asked for a couple of smaller bowls for sauce, they gave us takeaway plastic tubs.

The beef pho was flavourless, not hot enough and didn’t come with lemon, chilli or chilli oil which you would find at most Vietnamese eateries that serve pho.

Reading a number of previous reviews, it looks like this feedback has been provided on numerous occasions with little to no improvement.

It would be so great to have a really great Vietnamese eatery here in blackwood and unfortunately Bami Blackwood is not it. Will have to continue to drive down the hill for quality...

I'm not usually one to complain but I've sucked this up for a while now and want to say something. it's really unfortunate that Bami Blackwood is terrible compared to Bami Christies Beach. I thought they are meant to be the same? It's a pity because I live in Coromandel Valley and would actually frequent Bami Blackwood regularly if it was up to par with Christies. I get the exact same meals (tofu pad Thai and satay chicken rice salad bowl) and Blackwood always leaves me feeling sick in the stomach and it's never tasty, also the rice last night was more like mushy rice. I've actually given up on Blackwood Bami but once in a blue moon I'll try again just to see, which I did yesterday and am yet again left disappointed and with an upset stomach.
