We recently visited The Organik while spending a few days in Adelaide. We selected an indoor table as the weather was getting cooler, and proceeded to select and order. Service was friendly from all but one, a particular individual already mentioned in other reviews, who was quite distant and aloof at the counter, making me feel rather uncomfortable.

We ordered our usual drinks - Chai Latte and a Flat White, and selected the Salmon Bowl and Gnocchi as meals. To end proceedings, an Orange & Rhubarb slice, along with a Lemon cake/tart, as a final treat.

Unfortunately, our initial excitement, created by the impressive layout of the store (incorporating cafe and grocery components, all with a health focus) and robust menu, faded. Our drinks were okay but nothing spectacular. The meals arrived looking a million bucks, well presented, full of colour and ingredients, yet both of us struggled to finish them due to the high levels of salt. My wife honestly likened it to sea water, and I'm sorry to have to say that. My bowl, already loaded with saltier items - salmon, kraut, Feta - was complemented with a green salad mix that was saltier than everything else. I was shocked and, like my wife, struggled to finish the meal. On a more positive note, the pastries were good and we enjoyed both.

The Organik presented itself very well, both in layout and menu. Unfortunately, all that glitters isn't gold, and the actual food and drinks weren't of the same standard. Even if we were local to the area, I'd say we'd explore other options before...

We came for brunch on the weekend, I waiting in line to check if there was a table free and was seated by the waitress at a table that had a reservation in just over an hours time at 10:45am, she said this would be fine.

We ordered straight away and waited over 50 minutes for our orders to be brought out. As one of the waitresses was placing the food on the table another waitress came over and asked us to move, as the table was reserved. We asked if we could quickly finish our meals and she asked us again to move to the store. We were then escorted to the back of the store, carrying our plates and drinks in front of the other customers. When we sat down I noticed the time was only 10:40am - still 5 minutes before the booking time. It was incredibly embarrassing having to carry our meals through the restaurant and degrading being treated as though we were less important than the other customer who was unable to wait 5 minutes for us to finish our meals so the table would be free, especially when this was of no fault of our own.

We regularly go out of our way to visit here on trips to Adelaide, but will not be coming back again due to the poor service we experienced and time...

Changed menu, and now won't modified menu to help with dietary requirements. Will never eat here again!

*update: If it wasn't for my family having already ordered, I would have walked away and this would have been it. However, after about 10 minutes of sitting at a table with 8 other people that a manager come over, apologise and agreed to swap an ingredient in my order and that it was an easy fix. Once my food had been received I was asked to remove this review. But, they seemed far more concerned for their business than my customer experience and was the focus of their communication with me, and blamed new staff, but after further discussions it was the 'chef' being a bit precious. The food was extremely disappointing given how expensive it was, and even the 'oven baked' wedges were super soggy like they'd been microwaved and again got nothing but excuses. Though they did eventually accommodate a basic request, it was not a...

We visited The Organik - Cafe - Store a few times during our visit in Adelaide, the store itself was quite good, it catered for all my organic / dietary needs & they stocked fresh produce, bread & eggs… The ladies were friendly & helpful. The cafe itself - we ordered coffee & matcha, so hard to find a good matcha in this area & this did also disappoint, their powder - I’d never heard of (I’m a avid organic straight Matcha powder drinker/no sweetener) it contained coconut sugar, I thought I’d give it a go as I wasn’t having much luck, It was terrible, I couldn’t drink & the coffee was not much better. I can’t comment on the menu as we didn’t have anything to eat. Defs not the place for Matcha, however the store itself was great!

Tumeric Latte and a Ham and Cheese Crossiant. ☕🥐 My experience: The cafe has a trendy atmosphere, with a boutique feel about it. They share half the cafe with the "organik" produce. There is large selection of cakes and lunch options available. My tumeric latte with soy, was very creamy and was strong on the tumeric. Some added sugar balanced the intensity. My Crossiant was lovely and crispy with decorative garnish. Was a great experience, and I would come back again to see the "organik" produce.
