2nd best pub in Adelaide. Since rolling out the new brewery on-site, and commandeering half the taps for WBC beers, the diversity of the craft beers has dropped quite a bit. Love the staff and prices are still great, but there's other places offering far more diverse craft beer as well as newer and harder-to-get stuff. The only time the Wheaty shines for me anymore is when they get some of the limited stuff like Cantillon or collab beers you can't get anywhere else. Shame - it used to be a regular for many people :(

The Wheaty is a great place to go have a beer and see some local live bands. They had a wood fired pizza truck out front with some beautiful pizzas on the go, the beers are certainly different but yummy none the less. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the environment was kid friendly as there were some families there watching the bands. Scala host the bands are so a fantastic job, sound was brilliant and the show flowed very nicely. So if you haven't been there yet, pop in for a beer and live music.

Best pub in Adelaide. Really and truly, it doesn't get better. Lots of their own microbrews on tap that have changed every time you visit. Live music, beer garden, cosy fire - an area for every occasion. Good for groups. They let you bring food in (food truck outside, pizza nearby, Uber Eats etc), which is good since beer tends to get you drunker than you meant. So leave the car at home and get down to the Wheaty.

Nestled in Thebarton, The Wheatsheaf Hotel, affectionately known as "The Wheaty," is a gem in Adelaide's pub scene. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that perfectly blends rustic charm with a contemporary vibe. The exposed brick walls, eclectic decor, and cozy seating areas make it an ideal spot for both casual drinks and intimate gatherings.

One of the standout features of The Wheaty is its impressive selection of craft beers. They pride themselves on offering an ever-changing lineup of local and international brews, ensuring that every visit provides a new tasting experience. The knowledgeable staff are always on hand to guide you through their extensive beer list, making recommendations based on your preferences. For those who prefer other libations, their curated selection of wines and spirits won't disappoint.

Live music is at the heart of The Wheaty's identity. The pub regularly hosts local musicians, providing a platform for Adelaide's vibrant music scene. The acoustics are excellent, and the intimate setting allows for a genuine connection between the artists and the audience. It's evident that The Wheaty is committed to supporting the arts, making it more than just a place to drink.

The beer garden is another highlight. Spacious and adorned with fairy lights, it's a perfect spot to enjoy a pint under the stars. Food trucks often make an appearance, offering a variety of cuisines that complement the drink selection. This approach ensures that there's always something new to try, catering to diverse tastes.

In conclusion, The Wheatsheaf Hotel offers an authentic and enriching pub experience. Whether you're a beer enthusiast, a live music lover, or someone seeking a cozy spot to unwind, The Wheaty delivers on all fronts. It's a testament to what makes Adelaide's pub...

Omg was there to see The Cherry Pickers and Miss Ohio tonight. Local Bluegrasss band and duo here in Adelaide. Tickets in hand, excited to see our favourite band and was told to leave the area where we were standing waiting to get in, by a very aggressive, in your face woman. We were not allowed to be standing because of covid. Fair enough. We looked for a seat, could not find one. Then said Lady had another woman come up and tell us to find a seat. Then she pointed to some hidden away behind the pool table, out of view from where we were standing. In a condescending manner she saids, there's plenty of seats ladies you just have to ask. Her manner and that of the original woman was totally rude and there was no need for it. Nonetheless we were offended, not by being told to sit, but the manner in which in was delivered. Shall not be going back to this venue again. Ticket money down the drain and bad taste left in our mouths because of their rudeness....

The only reason I drink anywhere else is because it is a bit far out of my way. If I lived in Theberton I would be here every night. This bar has the best range of beer in Adelaide, always changing, always something new, and nothing for the faint hearted. If you like your beer simple, the sort of horrible stuff advertised on tv, go somewhere else. If you have developed a real taste for yeast and hops, don't bother going anywhere else. Apparently the whisk(e)y and wine is good too, I have never tried it though - too much beer.

It is a real family bar, people actually bring their kids here. It is relaxed and a good place to meet people and chat - not one of those horrible places that are dark and you have to shout over the music. There are live performances regularly and most seem to be free. The only strike against this place is there is no kitchen, but they will let you...
