I stumbled upon Le Kiosk by chance while walking around the marina in Airlie Beach early one morning⌠and honestly, it turned out to be a beautiful surprise.
First impression? Wonderful. The cafĂŠ is right by the water, with outdoor seating where you can enjoy views of the boats and the sea breeze. Such a calm and peaceful atmosphere â just perfect to start the day slowly.
I ordered a cappuccino and a toast with eggs and cheese: everything was delicious, simple but made with care. The coffee was creamy, hot, and served within minutes. The menu also includes several healthy, vegetarian, and gluten-free options, which I really appreciated.
But what stood out the most? The staff. Truly kind, friendly, and welcoming. They served me with a smile, were quick without rushing, and it was clear that the team worked well together. That kind of positive energy instantly makes you feel comfortable. Itâs rare to find a place that feels so warm from the very first visit.
I also loved that itâs dog-friendly â a couple of people were there with their dogs sitting quietly beside them. It gave the place an even more relaxed and inclusive vibe.

I'm a local + regular who's lived here all my life and recently had the worst dining experience Iâve had in Airlie beach. I ordered the $15 special fish and chips and I was so disappointed. The calamari was dry and chewy, the fish and the chips were cold and the waitress was NOT friendly. I don't care if you're having a bad day the least you can do is smile as it's your job. I work in customer service as well and she made me feel like I shouldn't be there. The management of this place is ridiculous and these girls should not have a job there if they don't want to work properly. I can only say the girl who served me at the till gave me a smile but everyone else? Quit ur job if u can't do it correctly.    Read moreWent to the kiosk this morning to grab a coffee and breakfast before a fishing charter. 6:30am. Kiosk opens at 6:30am. Girl was busy putting things on tables etc, line up was growing. Chef calls from the kitchen, we donât open till 6:30. Wait patiently. Order my coffee and a breaky roll from the hot box and a Powerade. Girl was maybe not a morning person. Almost zero communication. I start eating my breaky roll from âhotâ box. Itâs stone cold. The cheese wasnât even melted. Roll was stale. Obviously made yesterday or even the day before, wrapped in foil, kept in fridge and put in hot box to reheat. Coffees ready so I tell the girl my breaky roll is stone cold. She goes âyeah cos she just put them in thereâ! I said well if you are going to serve breaky rolls they should at least be hotâ. She goes âoh sorryâ. I threw it in the bin. Coffee wasnât much hotter.
