Nestled like a cherished secret, this spot is a hidden gem that promises an enchanting dining adventure. The cashew sauce left a lasting impression, inspiring us to recreate its delightful essence at home—a testament to the remarkable flavors they present. If you have dietary preferences, worry not—this establishment goes the extra mile to cater to allergies, such as garlic, ensuring a stress-free dining experience for everyone. The mushroom pie was a carnivore's dream, and the beetroot burger and plant milk smoothie were equally noteworthy. Set in serene surroundings, this eatery emanates a warm and snug ambiance, ideal for relishing their nourishing and meticulously crafted culinary delights. Convenient parking, tranquil garden seating, or a cozy indoor setting contribute to a genuinely enjoyable dining escapade away from the typical hustle and bustle. Having unearthed this concealed treasure, we couldn't resist returning for more of their delectable cuisine and inviting atmosphere. The beetroot burger stood out as a favorite, showcasing the inventiveness and delectability of their menu offerings. The all-day breakfast was a genuine delight, leaving us content and invigorated for hours. The vibrant atmosphere and delightful tunes enhanced the overall experience, with a special nod to the amiable staff for their flawless service. For those in search of beautiful, fresh, and flavorful vegan dishes that not only tantalize the taste buds but also nourish the body, this spot is a must-visit. We're already plotting our next visit to indulge in more of their scrumptious offerings. Alex

Beautiful plant based cafe with dedicated and passionate about genuine health owners. I had the LSD - soy, dandelion, maple… it was soo good and the Mexican tortilla. Plus the most amazingly yummy!!!! raspberry muffin. Everything was fresh, tasty and super enjoyable. All served in their beautifully styled, cosy cafe. Edit: went back again yesterday and had the beetroot burger on a pumpkin bun, and it was delicious! And the bun was soft and tasty! I also had the dandy chai… so good! Highly recommend going here for beautiful plant based food and drinks, in a gorgeous indoor/outdoor setting served by super lovely owners 🫶🏼🌿

“Diggers Vegie Kitchen is a wonderful little place for veggie lovers! The menu is absolutely fantastic, offering a great variety of creative and delicious vegetarian options that cater to all tastes. The food was perfectly prepared and bursting with flavor. The staff were excellent, super friendly, and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The service was lightning fast, yet everything was served with care and quality. This is a gem of a restaurant, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. We’ll definitely be going there again soon!”

Although Diggers has been around since 2015, and I've visited Anglesea a few times since then, I've never managed to eat there. Partly due to their limited opening hours and also because they serve the kind of unfussy dishes I usually make at home. But if you feel like a break from cooking on your holiday, definitely head in there for a wholesome, satisfying meal.

Portion sizes are pretty epic! I got the loaded burrito and had to pace myself to finish, even though I arrived hungry. They were very generous with the avocado, with lots of guacamole inside the burrito as well as fresh slices on top. Slices of sweet potato, smoky black beans, and brown rice bulked it out. Their homemade almond feta a cashew queso elevated it above the everyday.

They've also updated the interior. The cute, kooky animal mural is gone, replaced by calm blue walls and macrame wall hangings with a beachy "boho" vibe. The courtyard at the front is pleasantly rambling, and a nice shady spot to sit on...

So after reading positive reviews we decided to give this a go and can I say this will go down as one of the worst meals we’ve had. We had the Italian menu and sadly both dishes were can I say not great. Beetroot gnocchi was like squares of stodgy glue, I can’t say anything nice about the mushroom sauce but the fresh basil was the highlight. The other meal had well overcooked pasta and a funky tasting leek and asparagus sauce, no flavour and using the tough outside of the leek was odd. We are both vegetarian / vegans, expected better. Feel sick having paid for this experience and felt I needed to say something as they need...
