Made to feel unwelcomed by the staff. Edit to owner:family of 10+ people who all bought meals and drinks (a shortage of lemon squash on the day and no sauces available were noted but whatever) had multiple staff come up to us saying the small dog we had wasnt allowed, even though we had called your business prior and was told by your staff it wasn't a problem to bring the dog along, and we have also brought her to the estabhlishment in the past as well. If only one staff member came up and said "hey, dog isn't allowed" fine or better yet, the staff we spoke to on the phone said dog wasn't allowed, then fine, we would have gone elsewhere. But multiple staff telling us she isn't welcome provided an atmosphere that, even though we had all put money behind your bar and restaurant (around $400+ as a whole family to my estimate), we shouldn't be there. Not to mention, I had driven nearly a hour and a half just to meet my family at your business, only to settle in and then be hassled by your staff and drive the hour and a half home feeling like it had been a waste of my free time . The second staff member admittedly said I could finish my meal as it had just arrived to the table when she approached saying My dog wasn't welcome, but why would I sit there feeling unwelcome only to scoff my parmigiana (that was bland too) and leave immediately after eating and paying for the privilege. Took my meal to go with my dog and wont be back. None of the family of 10+ thag were there will be back. Also, only 2 of my negative reviews on google are on restaurants, the rest are other businesses outside of the food industry. If I have a positive experience, I'll tell the establishment/server in person. Yours is the only review where I say I was made to feel unwelcome at a bar/restaurant. Don't be smart with your request...
Read moreMyself and a couple of friends went to this place for something different. The pub has lost its reputation as a bikie pub. The atmosphere was cosy and warm. Plenty of people and a long wait for food. My friends were quite happy with their meals , but sadly I was not. I had the ribs, yes the meat was tender and fell off the bone but the bourban sauce that it was coated in was way to sweet. The portion size of our meals was average but the desserts were great portion size and price. I had the sticky date pudding, and would recommend it to everyone. Saturday night is karaoke night much to my friends delight. So we stayed on outside the pub and everybody had a good time. As usual you have about 3 or 4 people that can sing and the rest ,well what can I say, their friends should be telling them the truth that they honestly can't hold a tune. But the crowd liked everyone that got up and made the effort. Staff were friendly and curtious and prices were reasonable. The crowd ranged from 20 year olds to 60 years old, so they catered...
Read moreWent to The Narry today for lunch with my wife. My wife had the grilled fish with garlic mash with 3 prawns as an extra..Her meal was fine. I ordered the Scotch fillet medium rare with mushroom sauce. The first time it came out the steak was 'well done' . I took it back and the server girl said she would get the manager. I just showed her the steak (grey looking on the inside) and said"I think we can agree that it's not medium rare". The next steak appeared to be cooked right but it was covered with pepper sauce. The girl said I ordered it with pepper sauce. I explained that if that was the case how did the first steak come with a mushroom sauce? After I scraped the sauce off they gave me the mushroom sauce. What came next can only be described as a 'chew' fest. Their steaks are obviously frozen..so with all this and $75 later, I won't be back. *I did not eat the steak, after having to chew every forkful for over a minute each forkful ended up back...
