Not even worthy of one star. Incredibly disappointing experience, after ordering through Uber Eats. The kitchen ignored the allergy information (which is for an anaphylactic reaction) which was highlighted by the recipient of the order. Alternatively, it was obvious they picked out the allergen from the meal instead, as small trace amounts were left. As if this weren’t disappointing enough, the containers were poorly filled, and left with more air inside than food.
Received a poor response when calling to complain, which resulted in us driving to the restaurant. The lady at the register was lovely, and tried her hardest to rectify the situation, however the owner had the poorest customer service skills I have encountered. She was not willing to refund an $11.90 meal, despite acknowledging the restaurant ignored the allergy note (she didn’t seem phased or alarmed by this). She refused to refund the money from the till, referring me back to Uber, despite not being aware of their refund time.
Thankfully for the “owner” the cashier interjected and gave a refund from the till. Really disappointing experience for a restaurant that has prime real estate and a worker who seemingly cares more about the restaurant’s reputation than...
Read moreFirst time we ordered (just me and wife), it seemed overpriced, but it was passable. Second time we ordered (whole fam, 4 kids) some of the containers were only half full, though we were charged for a "large" order.
Tonight, I ordered 5 meals and some rice, and when over an hour had passed I rang only to be told "they'll be there any minute" and when I asked if I'd get a discount because of this I was told, "talk to Nancy" as if I knew who Nancy was. Nancy wasn't the delivery person, a blank-eyed boy who spoke no English, though she got out of the van to talk to me.
She brought me the food with an $89 bill (for 5 meals and some rice!) and I told her she was an hour late and I wasn't going to pay full price. "Discount?" she said, and I said, "I'm not paying more than 50% for that..." she reached for her phone and said, "I check." as she walked towards the van.
2 minutes later, the van started and drove away. No warning, no resolution, nothing.
NEVER order from this place. They are overpriced, under portioned and they think it's acceptable to show up after an hour (when quoted "30 minutes or so") and charge $89 for 5 basic...
Read moreHot Salt and pepper squid score out of 10 = 3 Huge chunks of squid, not scored so they turned out rubbery. Mediocre batter with hardly any hint of the salt and pepper. Big chunks of shallots but hardly any garlic at all. Heat was ok.
Mee Goreng score out of 10 = 2 Easily the worst mee goreng ive ever had. It was basically special fried rice replaced with noodles and peanut satay sauce. Really really bad. It's only saving grace is that it had pleanty of meat.
Fried wanton 6 score out of 10 = 4 OK, and i mean barely ok but they were over cooked past brown towards burnt. A moment longer and they would be inedible.
Spring Roll 6 score out of 10 = 5 They're packet spring rolls, not even a 5yr old can screw them up.
Meal cost delivery $42.20
Do not take anyone you want to impress there, go anywhere else in the Armadale area. This place is really lazy with the food. There is a Wok in a Box down the road, much much cheaper too. Thats how bad this place is, I'm suggesting you go to wok in a box. $ to quality ratio there would be better. That's...
