I seldom leave 1 Star Google Reviews but my experience this evening warrants it as I am seriously annoyed at my experience at this restaurant! Firstly I asked two waiting staff what the make up of a dish was and if it had any vegetables. Neither had a clue. I placed my order hoping for the best 🙏 I ordered Duck in Lemon Sauce and boiled rice. Duck arrived mildly warm and rice about 7 minutes later. By then the duck was cold and lemon sauce congealed. When I told the waiter when paying about my dissatisfaction he simply said he will tell the kitchen. He could not care a less. Did not even offer a token discount. Pleasantly surprised with the taste of the meals from Mun Hing. We ordered Special Fried Rice, Chinese style Combination Stir-fry and Chicken Chow Mein with soft egg noodles. Food was delicious, generous portion of meats and veggies and the right amount of seasoning. It was delivered to the doorstep of our motel. Only small negative is that it took quite a long time (1 hour) to get the meals. We were warned beforehand when we ordered but an hour is still quite a while to wait when you have hungry children in a motel room. We come to Armidale at least twice a year and we always have dinner here. The service is sometimes up and down but this is usually due to how busy they are and the staff are always apologetic if you're left waiting. The food is spectacular and never disappoints. We always find ourselves drawn back to the funky outdated 70s vibe of the restaurant as these old school places are often where the great tastes are at.
