BRING YOUR TOWELS, BRING YOUR CUTLERY, AND BRING YOUR EAR MUFFS, because if you ask for the aforementioned basics while staying here for an extended period you will likely receive a surly and rude response from the lady on reception here. We stayed at this accommodation for 16 days while my partner attended Uni intensive schools, and the receptionist couldn’t have been less accommodating if she tried. When I asked for fresh cutlery on day 12 she scoffed and told me we have a sink in our room. When I walked away she then muttered ‘prick’. We then had to go and buy dishwashing liquid to clean the cutlery - this isn’t provided. We were not provided with fresh towels for a 5 day period across Easter, on the following day when I asked for fresh towels I was told they had ‘ran out’ and was provided with a hand towels as a substitute ….. As I was working from the hotel while my partner attended uni, I asked the ‘lovely’ receptionist for late check out - again scoff and tells me they have an entire set of rooms to move people in and out of (would have thought that would mean they could put our room last on the list to clean - but per all of the above - customer service is far from important to the lady running the desk at this hotel). Apart from the poor service, the rooms smell like something has died in there, and the bathroom sounds like it is about to take off into space when you turn the light/fan switch on.
Extremely disappointed with our treatment and could not promote using this...
Read moreThis review was originally posted a couple of days ago, however after posting it the motel threatened to charge the full cancellation fee unless the review was removed. After speaking to the corporate headquarters, I have decided to reinstate this review.
When I checked in I was given a sheet of paper that details the terms and conditions of staying at the motel. They included standard information like check in/out times, cancellation, refunds, smoking and in particular for me about pets not being allowed inside buildings. I have my dog with me who stayed in the car last night and sat at the door to my room tied up during the afternoon yesterday after check in and while I was inside the room. I informed the receptionist upon check in that he would be in the car and she said it was fine. This morning though the receptionist on duty had an issue with it, and by lunchtime I was informed I had to check out due to my dog being on the PREMISES (not buildings). This is a direct contravention of the terms and conditions agreed at check in, and I have been treated like I was doing the wrong thing despite the fact it was actually me following the terms and conditions agreed upon. Extremely disappointed with the service standard and change...
Read moreI had (thought) I had booked a family room the day I arrived using the Comfort Inn website direct. Unfortunately, this did not actually go through and when I arrived there was a bit of back-and-forth in trying to understand what happened (turns out I received a quote rather than a confirmation for booking.... which was unusual in my experience),
The staff were apologetic and although they were fully booked, realised someone may have accidently double booked, called them and confirmed we could have their second (not needed) room. Although the room wasn't what I had wanted (keen for 2 bedrooms) the staff very quickly set up a (solid) trundle bed and checked me in. Offering us a 4-pack of local craft beer for the inconvenience (which were great).
The room was exactly what you want for a single night stopover, clean, warm, large modern TV with Netflix a comfortable bed (although the trundle was pretty firm but high and wide like a regular bed) and power points next to be bed (so you can charge your phone without having to unplug something else!).
The complementary continental breakfast was the cherry on top (all COVID safe) and in a very nice breakfast/bar area. Definitely recommend this for a stopover or a few nights. Would...
