The young man who was managing the team last night 8.15pm should not be a manger at all. I placed an order through drive through and upon receiving it I saw my cheese burger had so much oil it was leaking through the wrapping and the bag it came in. My chicken burger was stone cold. Luckily I was parked close by so I drove back within minutes and returned both burgers via drive through. The first staff member was very apologetic and asked me to drive fwd to talk to the manager and he will replace everything when i drove up I gave the bag of food to the manager and he checked everything and argued that there’s no way the chicken burger was cold because he is pumping them out with his team and there all made fresh I luckily I had added cheese on my chicken burger and was able to showed him the cheese wasn’t even melted on the burger there for it could not be served hot and fresh! He told me to park in the waiting bay and he will be back with my refund. When he came back he only gave me $11.30 I yelled out that I paid more than that for my items and he said oops forgot to get you an extra note. Then he told me to come back through drive through so I can get my money. Like what the hell is wrong with todays youth how the hell is this guy a manager creating more of a inconvenience to the customer. Bring the rest of my change to me don’t get me to park up and give me half then make me drive back through drive through to get the rest! A note to all the staff and management at ascot Mac Donald’s ppl won’t make a effort in coming back and complaining unless something is really wrong dk your job and replace the meal or give ppl there money back it’s in...
Read moreA clean and typical McDonald's franchise that's open 24 hours. With the large windows and lovely decor this Restaurant was appealing to walk into. The staff here was courteous and very helpful and accommodating. I enjoyed my breakfast and the charging station was a huge plus. Easy access for people in wheelchairs and an accommodating restaurant for people with walkers and wheelchairs. What I didn't like at the Restaurant was the typical one urinal, one cubicle Male toilets. The toilets were bright to walk into but soon loose there appeal with what I have become accustomed to at a McDonald's restaurant. Above the urinal there is a large piece of timber obviously for trades people to get access to the pipes behind. The timber has been painted white and has become the idea scribble and graffiti board for those so inclined. After washing my hands I found that the antique hand dryer did not work. I went back 5 minutes later to try the hand dryer again but it was obviously defective as it didn't work again. While we were there a bus load of Singaporean tourists arrived for breakfast and inundated the toilets which were a let down for our tourist friends who come from a country where they take so much pride in their clean city. McDonald's in Australia is not a place I would a bus load of tourists to, mainly because of the lack of adequate clean toilets. What a letdown. I would hope that McDonald's in the future place more emphasis on clean and tidy restrooms with more than just one urinal and one cubicle. I dont know how council rules and regulations allow Restaurants get away with...
Read moreI had one of the worst drive-thru experiences ever at your Ascot, WA location today.
I placed an online order around 3:35–3:40 AM for two coffees and a burger, intending to pick it up quickly via the drive-thru since I was in a rush to work. I arrived at the drive-thru around 3:56 AM, and the employee at the window casually told me I was “good to go.” Naturally, I assumed my order would be ready at the window as it was placed around 10-15mins ago.
However, after waiting several minutes with no sign of the order, I went inside only to find that nothing had even been started. Three employees were in the store, but only the drive-thru attendant was preparing food. The other two appeared to be doing absolutely nothing. They only began making the coffee after I walked in and asked about my order. When I questioned the delay, the employee simply smiled at me as if I was overreacting.
If I had the luxury of wasting time in such an early morning, I wouldn’t have bothered ordering In-store. I chose online ordering with drive-thru pickup specifically to save time and avoid delays not to wait nearly half an hour for two coffees and a burger.
What exactly is the point of offering an online order + drive-thru pickup option if your team isn't trained or motivated to fulfill it efficiently? This was a complete failure in customer service and operational management.
I will not be returning to this location and at this point, I’m seriously reconsidering ever going to McDonald’s again. Absolutely...
