Where do I start? Oh yeah from the moment we drove up to complex. Had our elderly father with us and an acrod sticker. All the disabled bays are the car bays furthest from the front door, then in between each disabled bay is where they have obviously had metal poles once but now a serious trip hazard (and all next to the disabled bays). Walking up to the restaurant, could not help but notice the lack of grounds maintenance, from the broken water feature, to the dirty windows and cobwebs. Upon entering the Restaurant, we waited in line for 10 minutes (and there were only two ladies in front of us!) the cashier kept disappearing into the restaurant. After paying, we. Were told to walk up to the far end of the restaurant and grab a table. On the way through the restaurant, there were countless dirty tables covered in uneaten food and dirty dishes. After dodging a chair in the middle of the room with a bucket on it, we sat at our table. Clearly the bucket was because of a leak in the roof, which had obviously been there for the longest time as there was a stained sheet of some sort “Stapled” to the ceiling to re direct the dripping water. Right so now the food. Extremely disappointing, choice of only half a dozen “lukewarm” dishes with burnt hash browns, fruit was a single bowl of tinned fruit salad swimming in juices, bread was so stale. The two juice machines and water containers were completely empty. Upon asking if there was supposed to be juice, the girl said yes, she needs to fill them up and that they were short staffed. After 10 minutes I returned to get some juice as one of the machines had been filled. After filling up my tiny little disposable plastic cup, I took a sip, and it wasn’t even cold. WHAT AN ABSOLUTE DISGUSTING JOKE OF A PLACE!! The sad thing is that it’s in a lovely location and has the potential to be an extremely smart, elegant and almost grand building but is clearly run by people who put absolutely no money into maintaining the property or employing sufficient staff. As a PERTH born person, I’m incredibly embarrassed that tourists experience this disgraceful place. YUCK! I have many pictures to back this up and if I could, I would have posted them. I seriously walked away from this place thinking am I going to get sick? Imagine the state of the areas we can’t see?.. like...
Read moreI have never experience something so horrible in my life!! We bought a scoupon voucher online. I had very high expectations, the hotel and restaurant looks so beautiful but the service and quality is absolutely disgusting. When we arrived the owner took us to a table, it looked like she had no idea what she was doing. We waited 30 minutes for service, after waiting that long for our drinks I went up and complained that we didn't even have a table number or our drinks. We then waited another 15 minutes for our drinks and to finally be asked what we wanted for entree. When we received our entrees, my chilli mussels were raw and were horrible to eat as there was way to much chilli, I sent the mussels back waited for another 30 minutes and the got served the same chilli mussels but they cooked them longer. I was honestly disgusted I couldn't even touch them, after sending them back a second time we got our mains about 10 minutes after that. My boyfriend ordered chicken parmigiana which is his favourite but was very disappointed as the fries were stale and the chicken was soggy. I ordered tempura chicken with coconut rice, the chicken wasn't seasoned and tasted like they poured the bottled lemon juice you get from Coles over it, the rice was also plain and no coconut like they stated on the menu. As we complained again the owner got her employee to come apologise and offer free desserts but she didn't do anything about it, we tried the dessert but was a mistake they were hard and tasted like we were eating rocks. This restaurant either needs Gordon Ramsay to come help them or shut the place down. I'm so disappointed and I wouldn't recommend anyone going here ever unless you want cold food and food poisoning. What I find absolutely horrific is on the website it's stated as a gold plate winner of...
Read moreSo much here to disappoint. We found this restaurant on Scoopon which we use as a great way to 'try before you buy' for places we may otherwise never visit. We arrived 10 minutes before our reservation and had to go searching for someone to help us. When we finally found someone the first question they asked was if we were Scoopon customers. This seemed to set the scene for being treated as second class citizens. Ushered to a corner of what felt like the lobby, which was clearly the buffet breakfast type area of the hotel...(the main restaurant is further into the building)...we were told what we could choose from what was a disappointing menu. The decor is typical of a 4 star hotel restaurant with lots of marble and bling but it is sterile and had no soul. Set right on the river it has the potential to be amazing but isn't. The food was terrible. Bad pub food at best and cooked with no care. Half way through the meal a staff member came to our table and asked how our meal was. My husband, who never complains normally, said it wasn't great but the guy at our table just said "I need to scan your Scoopon" ....half way through dinnner......was he serious? No apology for the food or any other interaction. He scanned our Scoopon and left. The poor waitress who tried her best, asked for our feedback on the food and when we told her both meals were horrible she went back to the kitchen but nothing was offered as recompense....in fact they charged us extra for the beer my husband had instead of the wine that was included in the Scoopon. The phrase 'fur coat and no nickers" comes to mind. Don't waste your time or money here it was supposed to be a date night but was memorable for all the...
