Chicken With A Mission — Restaurant in Bacchus Marsh

Disappointed.

Went in today after passing by and thought it smelt amazing! We ordered 2 x 1/4 chicken and chips with gravy which cost $26 all up ($13 each), we noticed they had a sign up with a deal that mentions 1/4 chicken and chips with a can of drink for $13, when we enquired about it the person at the counter said it didn't apply to our order so we had to pay an additional $4 for 2 x cans so feel like we got ripped off? As we got home to eat, the chips didn't have any salt and tasted old and stale, the 1/4 chicken however had all the salt to the point it was too much to continue to eat, the gravy was probably the only medicore thing about it. I googled to see if there was anywhere in town to get a takeaway parma and found this place. Very excited to try it. The parma itself was quite nice, crispy. The chips were shriveled and didn't even have salt! The gravy was runny, dark and tasted horrible. I would have given another star for the parma itself, if not for this next part. I was about 2/3 through the chicken, when I cut another piece off and saw something sticking out of it. I pulled at it and out came a hair! Ugh! Made my stomach turn. So now my cat gets a bit of chicken and the rest is thrown out and I'm still hungry and disgusted. I guess I'll be sticking to KFC for my chicken...

We had been on the road for 8 hours. We were tired and hungry by the time we stopped at Chicken with a Mission. Ordered 1/4 chicken and salads and also asked for a small serve of chips (which I don't think we were charged for). The meal was just delicious. Chicken was tasty and the salads were obviously fresh with a good variety. The chips were to die for - crispy and whatever salt or flavouring they used - they were just yummy. The owner too his time to converse with us and make us feel welcome as we stuffed our faces. Only complaint - my wooden fork broke (LOL)! Well done, Chicken with a Mission @...
