Banh Mi Cafe - Restaurant — Restaurant in Victoria

Was in Bacchus Marsh on an errand and suddenly found myself craving for Banh Mi. Good thing I found this place, Banh Mi Cafe Restaurant. Ordered the crispy roast pork Banh Mi and was pleasantly surprised as to how good it was. Sure I've had better Banh Mi before but theirs was pretty good as well. The bread had nice outer crust that was really crunchy and the inner was just right - not too soft, not too hard. The pork was very tasty and extremely crunchy, just how I like it. And it had a good amount of vegetables in it as well. I only wish it had a tad bit more chilli. But other than that, I was very much satisfied with it. I think I finished it in less than 5mins! The bahn mi rolls were never great but just ok. Not ever were they authentic bahn mi rolls more like a glorified chicken and salad roll. No proper herbs and spices and way too much grated carrot etc . The last couple chicken bahn mi rolls werent great and until staff told me they changed the BBQ chicken supplier I couldn't work out why.. What really ticked me off was being given a roll which wasn't even a Vietnamese roll but a doughy bread roll from the bakery. In past staff have always told me if they ran out of Viet rolls but not on my last visit. I won't be back. Staff are lovely it's not their fault. Absolutely terrible experience. I have ordered vegan tofu/veg fried rice and vegan dumpling. Fried had chicken Fried pieces along with tofu. As there lot of people and I don't wanted to make a scene I went to server and asked her to come to the table . I showed her the problem, she was apologetic, I lost my appetite and left the food . However was charged full price. No refund was offered. On top of that ambience is not at all quite. Feels like you are at take away place, the lady at the counter scream and take order at the top of her voice and also shouts while communicating with chef in kitchen.
