We recently held my birthday party at the Royal Hotel Bacchus Marsh, which turned into something even more special – our surprise wedding announcement! From start to finish, the entire experience was absolutely flawless.
The staff went above and beyond to make the day unforgettable. A special shoutout to Mikaela on the bar, who was an absolute superstar – friendly, attentive, and just a joy to deal with. The food was incredible– everyone raved about it, and not a single guest left hungry. On top of that, the cost was more than reasonable for the quality of service and food we received.
We were blown away by how flexible and helpful the staff were, especially when it came to hiding our surprise wedding cake – they pulled it off perfectly. The room itself was warm and cosy with a lovely fireplace that added so much atmosphere. When we walked in, the entire setup looked like a dream – beautifully styled and exactly what we’d hoped for (and more).
We honestly could not have asked or expected more from the day. Tracey and Dave, the amazing owners, made everything feel personal and special. Their care and attention to detail truly exceeded our expectations.
If you’re looking for a venue that combines genuine hospitality, great food, and a warm, welcoming vibe – look no further. We’ll remember this day forever. Thank you so much to the entire...
Read moreWon’t be returning unfortunately, firstly the girl stuffed up and didn’t do 4 meals and then instead of apologising she was quite rude and walked off without saying sorry or letting us know that she was going to fix it up and was seen throwing her clip board because she obviously angry about it but it wasn’t our stuff up it was hers. If she had of just apologised we would have been fine and understood that people make mistakes but she wasn’t polite at all. Then I’ve just arrived home to notice I’ve been over charged and the same lady who stuffed up the meals is the one who did the payment at the end and she’s over charged me. I haven’t even bothered to ring up to complain because I’m honestly just so disappointed and can’t be bothered dealing with it. Such a shame because I was excited to finally find a place that we could eat at that caters diary free for my daughter and now that’s gone out the window and we won’t be returning. Very...
Read moreA friend and I visited for lunch on a Tuesday—it was our first time here, and we were encouraged by the positive reviews. I’ll start with the good: the waiter provided excellent service. Unfortunately, the rest of our experience was disappointing.
We were the only customers in the bistro, yet the atmosphere was uninviting—there was a strong musty, unpleasant smell that reminded us of a toilet. The space felt old and worn. Despite being the only ones there, our meals took 30 minutes to arrive, which we found surprising.
The food didn’t live up to expectations. My pork schnitzel was dry and very thin, served with a pasta salad that tasted like something you’d find pre-made at a supermarket. The chicken schnitzel on the other plate was okay in flavour but very small—barely the size of a palm—accompanied by just a few chips and salad.
We spent $70 and left still feeling hungry. Sadly, I can’t recommend this place based...
