I was looking forward to eating here. Sadly it was a very disappointing experience. The assorted Sashimi was only two types of fish and the slices cut very thinly. No tuna at all. There were supposed to be 3 types. I asked for ginger and said I'd pay extra but I never received it. I had to ask idle staff that were not attentive to order more food. I ordered the fried bean curd (Agedashi Tofu), sadly it was not authentic with no ginger taste but a watery soy sauce it came with. The rice quality was warm (not hot) and not a high grade rice, more a mass quality rice.
I was extremely disappointed they charged me almost 10% for the card fee.
They did say there is a "%" card fee but I certainly was not expecting near 10% fee!!!
This is not right. Please rectify this or refund customers as it's illegal to charge customers this exorbitant amount. I don't like to leave a bad review during covid times as businesses have it tough already but this is simply unacceptable practice. For this reason I will not return. I found the food very sub standard and not aurhentic from my personal experience it didn't warrant the price tag.
RESPONSE TO OWNER The credit card surcharge I was charged was most definitely just under 10%, actually 9.04% if you require the exact %, which I calculated correctly. I have my eftpos receipt. I am not expecting a business to absorb these credit card charges. I am happy to pay the fees but not to be charged " extra" over and above the charges which are not warranted. Would you like to rectify this issue by refunding me the difference? It is the principle of the matter UPDATED RESPONSE. I will come to show you the transaction on my bank account & eftpos receipt. I can prove the charge is definitely without a shadow of a doubt just under 10% which is unwarranted. The reviews provided are fair and accurate for each business reviewed. You are welcome to state as you wish but this reflects poorly on your business and character to denigrate a fair and accurate review of my dining experience. The extra fees charged by your business can be proven. If I have to pay GST plus your additional 10% fees for using a credit card each time it makes for a costly dining experience at an additional 20% for...
Read moreWhat can I say, there food is amazing, highly recommend Yakotori, and Sashimi. The wagyu, fried rice, and my hubby loves the deep fried ice cream. And if you don't eat all your fried rice take it home it's even better the next day, the salad is really good too sometimes just a little to much dressing, tempura is so crispy but soft at the same time, would be my go to everytime for entree however I got sick of the sweet potato part which is most of the vegetable one, good every once an a while, the broccoli and onion part is the best, ok probably unfair to say go to everytime as i often get yakotori as well, just which ever these 2 takes my fancy or sometimes both, only giving 4 stars for atmosphere for busy times it does get loud, enjoyed the lunch where we were the only ones in the teppanyaki part, which we choose teppanyaki everytime, 5 stars for service as very professional and friendly 99% of the time, only seen 1 staff annoyed but was still friendly and professional, just no smile and looked mad, but understand that, 😊 which is why still 5 stars, always have enough leftovers for the...
Read moreCame here for a work dinner as per suggestion from a colleague however overall was quite disappointed with the level quality and price of the food.
We opted for teppanyaki and went with what the waitress suggested, the Tokyo set.
First items were miso soup and salad, nothing special here. Next was what looked to be a spring roll, inside was the prawn paste roll, celery stick, carrot stick and ham (spam?).
The teppanyaki itself, all dishes seem to be cooked in the exact same manner, lots of buter, garlic, teriyaki sauce and what looked to be mirin. Again nothing special or that tasty.
The food was overly salty, especially the fried rice at the end.
The chef himself appeared to be Chinese so not authentic Japanese and didn't seem interested in being there, not very entertaining compared to other teppanyaki places. Only party trick was catching an egg in the bowl and egg roll in mouth.
Walked out feeling hungry still and would not recommend to anyone...
