I went to McDonald's today, excited to grab my favorite burger, but when I got my order, it was missing! I can't believe they forgot it. I checked the bag multiple times, hoping it would magically appear, but no luck. It's really frustrating because I was looking forward to that meal, and now I'm left feeling disappointed and hungry. It's just not cool when you expect something and it doesn't come through. I went to McDonald's today, excited to grab my favorite burger, but when I got my order, it was missing! I had been craving a Big Mac all day, and the thought of sinking my teeth into that juicy burger with its special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, and onions on a sesame seed bun was making my mouth water. I placed my order through the drive-thru, and everything seemed to be going smoothly. I could see the staff bustling around, preparing food and serving customers, and I thought to myself how efficient they were. However, when I received my order, I noticed that the bag felt lighter than usual. I shrugged it off, thinking maybe I was just imagining things, but as I drove away and took a closer look, I realized my burger was nowhere to be found.
I can't help but feel a little let down. I mean, it's just a burger, right? But it was more than that for me; it was a treat I had been looking forward to all week. I had planned my day around this meal, thinking about how satisfying it would be to enjoy it after a long day. Now, instead of savoring that first bite, I was left with a side of fries and a drink, which just didn't cut it. I tried to convince myself that I could just go back and get the burger, but the thought of dealing with the drive-thru again felt like a hassle. I didn't want to make a scene or cause any trouble; I just wanted what I paid for.
As I sat there, I couldn't help but think about how often these kinds of mistakes happen. Fast food places are usually pretty busy, and I understand that things can get hectic. But it still feels frustrating when you’re the one affected by it. I started to wonder if I should have checked my order before leaving. It's a lesson learned, I guess, but it doesn't make the situation any better. The anticipation of that burger was replaced with a sense of annoyance and disappointment.
I also thought about how I could express my feelings to the staff. Should I call the restaurant and let them know about the mistake? Would they even care? I didn’t want to come off as overly dramatic, but at the same time, I felt like my experience mattered. After all, I’m a paying customer, and I deserve to receive what I ordered. It’s not just about the food; it’s about the service and the experience as a whole. I wanted to feel valued and appreciated, not just another number in line.
Eventually, I decided to let it go and move on with my day. I tried to distract myself by thinking about other things I could eat, but nothing seemed to satisfy that craving for a burger. I considered ordering from another place, but it just wouldn’t be the same. I felt like I had been robbed of that moment of joy that comes from enjoying a good meal. It’s funny how something as simple as a burger can have such an impact on your mood.
As I drove home, I reflected on how this little incident could destroy me. It’s easy to get caught up in the disappointment, but I reminded myself that it’s just a burger in the grand scheme of things. There are bigger problems in the world, and I shouldn’t let a missed meal ruin my day. Still, it would be nice to get some sort of compensation or acknowledgment from the restaurant. A simple apology or a voucher for a free burger would be much...
Read moreMy mother and I came into the McDonald’s in bicton at roughly 3.30pm after returning from Rottnest island. We were extremely hungry. We used the self serve kiosk to order $48 worth of food, including burgers which would be taken back to our family in Manjimup (3Hrs south) for dinner. The kiosk has asked us to pay, processed our payment and then crashed before giving us our number. I approach the counter and ask for our number (which I had done at multiple of stores previously without a problem) and explain the situation. The young lady behind the counter was kind and helpful until an older lady came to “help” (I’m assuming she was the manager of this store) Not only was she extremely rude, refused to listen to the fact we live 3 hours south of Perth, she also refused to resolve the problem. She said that ‘the order hasn’t been payed for’ even though we showed proof of the payment through my mums banking app which included time and day of purchase. She then proceeded to state that the money ‘should go back in and if it doesn’t come back into store’ completely ignoring the fact that we live 3 hrs away. I have never experienced anything like this at a McDonald’s before, for a reputable multi-billion dollar business to refuse a $50 order when there is proof of payment is ridiculous. Could you imagine if this was a mother using her last $50 to feed her family and the store had done this to her? I am also appalled at the lack of care from the woman who ‘handled’ this situation as I had to insist they check that kiosk and put an out of Order sign there. I am absolutely appalled, disgusted and now $50 out of pocket due to the...
Read moreI just had a very bad experience at the Bicton McDonalds store. We came in at 7:10 and ordered immediately while we were waiting. There were several teenage boy customers who were hanging around the pick up area and talking to the girls working. Nobody was doing any work or serving they were sitting there and chatting. To add to this very extremely unprofessional experience, the staff started throwing water onto each other. I have never in my several years of being a loyal McDonald’s customer had an experience with such bad service and pure immaturity. I felt extremely uncomfortable and by the time my food had arrived 20 minutes, my chips were cold, and the food was just horrific. I understand that hiring teenagers is cheaper for the business, but maybe you should also examine their level of professionalism in a workplace environment during the hiring process. Additionally, the manager was being disrespectful and playing along and allowing this behavior to occur. I am still in shock of how horrific that experience was and I just hope that those people are all trained better in the future and punished justly so. There was only one server who actually greeted us in a kind and friendly way, and tried his best to ensure that we received our food. His name was Ethan and I am extremely grateful. He had a great level of professionalism and even though his coworkers were messing around, he was on task and clearly was trying to help so please send...
