Picobello Patisserie — Local services in Bicton

During my first visit to the restaurant, I was taken aback by the lack of hygiene. The girls who were handling food did not use gloves and were touching bread, meat, and other items with their bare hands. Furthermore, they were cleaning their fingers with their clothes, which is not acceptable. I also noticed that they were not wearing any personal protective equipment.

To add to this, they were putting straws on the table without using a straw dispenser, which is a violation of the law. The sandwich heaters were also oily and stained with burned food.

I noticed that most of the older couples were waiting for their orders, and we all know that our seniors and young children are more prone to infections. Therefore, I kindly request the management to look into this matter and take appropriate action to ensure that such incidents do not happen again.

The patisserie is a place that teases the taste buds. The pastries are made daily which leave your taste sensation drowning in the freshness of delectable morsels of sweet delights. Specialities like the mini pavlovas with fresh fruit piled high, lemon tarts that have your taste buds craving more. There is also an assortment of cakes which can be bought for birthdays and other celebrations. Some pastries are "gluten free" and "flour free". It caters for all tastes. The Spinach & Feta rolls which are served warm with the party that falls gently on your tongue as the aromas of feta and spinach is tasted in every crevice of your mouth. I must admit however that I find their coffees to lack the smell of fresh coffee beans and has a lack lustre taste. At times it is just warm, not hot which is disappointing however the staff are forever the friendliest I have come across and the seating quaint in such a small space. Well...

I ordered five boxes of petite fours from this wonderful little patisserie to give as Christmas presents to staff members. I had no idea how these treats would be received but after sampling them myself, and finding them totally delicious, I was hoping the staff would rate them as highly as I did. When I went to pick up my order I found Ahn had presented them exquisitely in beautifully decorated boxes. Far more elaborate than I had hoped for. I carefully transported them (all the way to Chidlow), kept them cool overnight and presented them to staff the next day. Who could have imagined the rave reviews I received over the next few days?
