Oh my...I have been looking forward to a decent serve of fish n chips since 'Little Henrys' opened but had to wait for payday.. sent hubby down as no phone number to order..I get that it takes an extra person to keep answering the phone which probably cant be cost effective at the start, so Im OK with that explanation but that will surely cost them business in the long run. Whats the point in home delivery if you have to go down and place an order?? Not everyone uses social media. Then the chips were stodgy and chewy..how does that happen? Although there was a decent serve. Way too much salt on them by the way..I love my salt but even too much for me. The young lady asked if my hubby wanted the barra so he just said yes, not really knowing the difference as we rarely eat takeaway (grrrr he knows I hate barra) also not taking into account it was going to cost an extra $10....good sales person there. Sadly the barra was a stiff rectangular piece of (?pre crumbed, ? frozen?) meat and was half raw. All in all a very expensive meal (for us) that mostly went in the bin. Dont think we'll be back sorry. But hubby did say he chatted with the boss and he was a nice guy....gets a star for that and one for opening in Bridgetown.
**the best fish and chips fresh and battered on the spot with huge pieces of fish which 2 can share with too many chips to eat come from Gurwinda's deli in Tambellup..maybe the boss should take his staff out to lunch to see how its done properly...no offence meant, not being nasty, just stating a fact and making a suggestion.
Addendum in response to the owners reply...we live 500 metres away from your store..my hubby came straight home with them and we ate them within 5 mins of his arrival, they did not sit in the box. When I said $10 I meant the $5 difference each serve.. he placed 2 orders....your price $14 something for basic fish n chips to $19 something (without looking up the price online) for the barra. As to the no phone I believe you told my husband that you all got too busy to answer phones and I said I understood that..but as I also said...not everyone does social media and Im certainly not going to sit down and compile an email or fill out order forms online for my dinner. Ive never heard of that before. It might suit a young person who is into apps and lives on their phone, but thats not how I want to order my dinner!!! I have every right to write my review as I saw it.... I dont believe you commented on the...
Read moreWe had a shroom burger and a vege burger. For over $30 for two burgers I feel TOTALLY RIPPED OFF. These were by far the worst and meanest burgers I have ever purchased. 1 and a quarter small mushrooms does not equal one pattie. Neither does one skinny commercial vegetable pattie. And this was added to by a pinch of shredded iceburg, a slice of packet cheese and two and a half tomato slices (including the end bit).
A complete rip off, mean and nasty.
Response to Owner: Yes please investigate, I would not publicly run down anything if I were not genuinely disappointed and have no other recourse given we left town early the next day.
FYI: I did receive 1 and a quarter mushrooms. The whole mushroom was flattened to about 5cm across and was a thin variety. The quarter bit lay next to it. They were in the middle of the burger (well done on positioning) but there was a considerable gap of bare bread (2-3cm) to the edge all round which was filled by the occasional shred of lettuce and mayonnaise.
I guess the fields are normal sized where I come from, as are the field mushrooms.
Please investigate and train your cooks as needed because it should be value for money every time, consistently. It wasn't busy, they were cooked immediately, there was zero pressure on the kitchen, no other customers and no excuse to offer something so sub-standard for the price asked.
Also FYI: The two accounts you refer to are two separate, dissatisfied customers, who both received a bad product. Your attention should be directed there without trying to discredit...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Little Henry's Diner in Bridgetown, and let me tell you, it was an absolute blast from the past! From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was transported back to the 80s, with the iconic Pac-Man and Space Invaders arcade games beckoning me to come and play.
The pizza was simply divine - the crust was perfectly crisp, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. But the real showstopper was the old-fashioned syrup soda. It was like taking a sip of pure nostalgia, with the fizz and sweetness transporting me back to my childhood.
The atmosphere at Little Henry's was just as delightful as the food and drinks. The retro decor and memorabilia created a fun and lively ambiance, perfect for reminiscing about the good old days. And the host went above and beyond to help us celebrate a friend's 50th birthday, making the occasion even more special.
If you're looking for a truly unique dining experience that will delight your taste buds and spark your sense of nostalgia, I highly recommend checking out Little Henry's Diner. It's a hidden gem that's sure to leave you feeling like a kid again. Highly...
