It was a nice Sunday morning and we wanted a different Sunday breakfast.. so we asked Google for suggestions!! Up popped 3 Blind Mice and we were in for a magical treat! What a brilliant little cafe restaurant in Sandgate. Parking was easy to find, a short walk and we grabbed the last available table!! Where had we been not to have discovered this fantastic food outlet situated right in the heart of beautiful Sandgate.. after a quick look over the large menu & being pleasantly surprised with the variety, we made a choice and ordered! Smiling happy staff made the ordering a pleasure, but we were in for an even better pleasure when the coffee arrived shortly, before our delicious food arrived.. the coffee was perfectly made and the bosses cafe latte, spot on! Our main meals were made as ordered, first class, hot coffee, hot meals and plenty on our plates.. in fact we had trouble eating our order.. I could see why this place was so popular with so many patrons.. nothing was a problem with extra requests we made, only smiles and happy to help.. a great way to start our relaxing Sunday with a lone musical genius playing a short distance away as well.. we are very happy to have found this first class five star eating cafe and we will certainly return soon! Prices were not over the top but represented great value for tasty awesome food with great service. Thanks 3 blind mice, love the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAfter reading the reviews I rode my bike from Aspley on Sunday morning to try breakfast at 3 Blind Mice Cafe.
I stood my bike out of the way near an empty table, placed my helmet on the table and turned to walk over and place my order.
Before I took a step I was stopped in my tracks by an abrasive staff member who said to me "that table is reserved, and the bike racks are over there. You can order takeaway only".
She pointed to bike racks across the road as though my mere presence was offensive to her. There was no reserved sign on the table, nor was there a sign anywhere saying bikes were not allowed.
I looked next door to Satori Organics and saw several cyclists seated at tables next to their bikes, enjoying their breakfast. So I told her I would go next door. And I did. And I enjoyed a lovely eggs bene and latte. I followed this with a smoothie and carrot cake whilst listening to the lovely musician playing her guitar.
I spent over $50 and watched as several groups of cyclists came and left over the period I was there. Not once did a cyclist go to Three Blind Mice. I guess the locals know how cyclists are treated.
That was my first experience with Three Blind Mice, and my last. It was also my first experience with Satori Organics, and I can't wait to return.
There's a lot to be said for customer experience and that is poor at Three Blind Mice if you happen to arrive...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went there today, Saturday, October 11, 2025, as a new customer with an open mind to support a local business. It wasn't that busy and I was very specific that I wanted runny (soft) eggs and my large hot chocolate with my meal. Food was barely warm, no flavour and eggs overcooked. I have actually cooked for a living and I wouldn't have served that myself to anyone. I didn't complain but I won't be back. Definitely wasn't worth 34.50 !!! Seeing the response from the owner of the establishment has reaffirmed my whole point. Not taking any responsibility or accountability for poor food quality and arguing with a customer who has provided photographs which CLEARLY shows the eggs arenāt over easy (runny). Lesson learned. Sharing with others so they donāt waste...
