Poor Management and Confusing Policy - Urgent Attention Needed
Dear Andonis cafe,
I am writing to express my disappointment with how my recent visit was handled this morning, 22/3/25 as well as the confusion surrounding your food policy. As a regular customer who enjoys the same meal every week, I was shocked during my last visit when I was told, while placing my order, that the bread roll I always order is now only available for takeaway, not dining in—but only on weekends. I have been to your restaurant many times and have never been informed of this policy, including just the weekend before when I dined in with my family.
To make matters worse, when I explained my situation to the manager, he did not apologize or try to resolve the issue. Instead, he simply reinforced the policy, which added to my frustration. He then turned his back and walked away while I was trying to explain that I am a regular customer and that it was not okay to watch my daughter eat while I was left with no option but to choose another meal, which I did not. This behavior was completely unprofessional and disrespectful.
Additionally, my daughter have not finished her meal, a staff member came to our table and informed us that we had to leave in 10 minutes because the table was booked. This was extremely disrespectful, especially given that there were several empty tables available, and we were rushed out with no consideration for our situation. It felt like we were being kicked out for no valid reason, which was absurd.
I asked to speak with the manager again to discuss my concerns, but he never came to address the issue. This lack of response and fair treatment is completely unacceptable.
This entire experience highlights poor management and a lack of awareness regarding customer service and food policies. The inconsistency in how certain items are available for dine-in versus takeaway—especially when these policies were not communicated to regular customers—is confusing, and the lack of any apology or effort to resolve the situation was deeply disappointing.

Read moreFirst off it has potential but there are a few things that I noticed while there. A better layout for employees, they seemed rushed and confused based on the fact table were constantly been moved ( if tables are numbered they should be updated with location to avoid rushing for the employees). Drinks should be brought out before Food. Something I didn't see was happening unfortunately as Food was coming out at separate times even if orders were made at the same time, and ontop of that Food being cold based of reason 1 where employees taking to long to get service to tables from one side of the cafe to the other without mistake (it's hard to run will hold 2-3 plate) for obvious reason. Location this was a big one that set the mood from the beginning having an understanding of the area. It's loud as it across from a intersection and ambulances are a major factor for sound with hospital close by there should be a privacy wall separating the road from the outside of the cafe. Would help with atmosphere and sound hopefully. As I have said this has potential based on performance and service of other andonis cafes and I understand it's new standing being open so recently bur some of this things should have been dealt with from the beginning as it's had success before. ‐--------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE: so it's been a few months since the last and review and I have been back more then once and have to say the potential I had stated was met.
Let's start off with introduction. Employees were welcoming and amazing with helping us in everyday I would want. On top of this the atmosphere itself was alot better because of.
Secondly Food and drinks came out quickly and glad to see that the drink came out before the food 🤌.(crispy chicken crepes were amazing)
As for enviroment I won't base the overall review on this as I know that it isn't something in there control (windfall was be good though) but am very happy about the fact that during some of the colder weather and wind they will happily give you blankets to keep you warm. So being a person who has an eye for detail and sensitively observant - plus entrepreneurial, our family celebrated my daughter’s 20th Birthday here today Sunday the 9th of June.
