Went here to try Chac's today. They have just recently opened. They are still in start up phase. I had a good chat to Jason the manager.

The place has a lovely atmosphere, light and open. The food menu has some really interesting choices, but its not huge. The alcohol menu was a bit limited, but we survived that just fine.

The in-table charcoal BBQ was already preheated when we arrived, so cooking was a breeze, just throw on whatever you fancy. They give you all the tools. The meat was good quality, and tender, with just the right amount of fat to cook away over the charcoal.

We did the combo phĂ´ and the $50 Combo bbq of Wagyu, chicken and pork belly. The serve size was generous, and everything came with the usual Vietnamese accompaniments of dips, sauces and greens. We were in a food coma for the rest of the day.

The cuts of meat were the perfect size and thickness for the charcoal cooker. Each meat only took a few minutes to cook and smelt superb as it cooked, using the gorgeous dipping sauce as a glaze on the meat.

Some nights have live music to add some energy. The food tasted amazing.

Congratulations to Jason and his team. Easy to recommend. We will certainly...

We have been a fan of Jason and the team including the food since they opened Chac's Grill around the corner. They do fresh food, and are always accommodating. Nothing is ever a problem and we are always greeted with a smile by each and every employee. We come here with pleasure and never have to wait long for our food to come out. Definitely recommend the rice paper rolls, the beef ball pho, the grill for 2-3 people, the fried wontons, quail and more. I think we've almost tried everything on the menu and everything is delicious. The only thing I would like is perhaps to see some nice dessert(s) and some dishes that other place don't do e.g. Banh Xeo, Banh Kot, or Bun Cha Hanoi as everyone is familiar with all the standard Vietnamese. Perhaps put some of them on specials? Each week another special dish? Just a suggestion. Thanks Jason, Family and the team. Always a pleasure to come out and enjoy a home cooked meal. Best,...

Finally got to try this place and alltho the goat hotpot was amazing thats where it ended. We ordered spring rolls that came out with no sauce then later brang sauce out when we had 1 left, ribs that came out chewy with no flavour whatsoever no sauces no plates had to follow up 2 times the wait staff were very clumsy each time one of them had come out he had dropped nearly everything on the floor we ordered 2 cocktails and a beer and cider after 15mins waiting i had to go get the beer and cider at the counter as they had forgotten about us then after eating we still hadnt got our cocktails which we just gave up even getting them at the end, very disappointed i had high hopes as the chacs restaurant around the corner from these guys is absolutely amazing We will not be...

We were so delighted to discover Queenland’s first Vietnamese charcoal BBQ restaurant. Similar to Korean and Japanese barbecue, the charcoal grilling gives a delicious charred flavor to the meat. 🥩 This Set A, priced at $65, included lightly marinated wagyu beef, pork belly, and chicken, along with rice, soup, and salad. The meat quality was average but acceptable but the price was super reasonable as the servings were very generous! ⭐️The Bánh hỏi đặc biệt set, priced at $24, impressed us with its generous portions and great value. The combination of flavors and the unique charcoal grilling experience make this a must-visit place for Vietnamese food enthusiasts and adventurous eaters alike. We can’t wait to return! ⭐️We thought their $1 iced tea was a fantastic deal.
