CRAE CAFE — Restaurant in Brisbane City

Placed an order through the Skip app and we certainly did NOT ‘Skip’ the queue. They specified an unrealistic time frame for food of 5 minutes so we thought we’ll expect 10. Most places on the app have a longer time frame specified for food. We arrived to pick up our order and the coffees came out. Another patron came and placed a food order over the counter and he received his cooked food before us. 25 minutes later our food order was provided. It wasn’t a large or complex order. My smashed avocado was ok but only small. The Turkish sandwich was good. The cabinet food, croissant didn’t seem to be fresh. Coffees were good and the kids were excited to have 2 marshmallows with their babycino’s but it’s certainly not enough to draw us back unfortunately. Famished kicks it out of the park when using the Skip app. They never miss a beat. My husband wanted to give 2 stars but I think 3 is a fair rating for the food and coffee taking the delay out of it as delays can occur but an apology would have been nice. Sorry that was a...

Worth the wait!

A family owned business that prides itself on quality at a very cost considerate price point.

A bit nervous reviewing this place because alerting the owners to the good value for quality means they may put up their prices. So I suggest going here soon before they read this!

With a reputation for two very authentic Portuguese lunch meals which often sell out, this place also does a delicious banana bread and coffee combo for the morning dash. The coffee is good- Fonzie Abbott beans and never burnt, and the chairs are comfy with tables not too close together either.

With indoor and outdoor options for dining and a small but high quality menu, this is a good little spot to eat in or take away.

If you’re lucky and they aren’t busy- its quick service. But they wont compromise quality for your value for money meals...

Staff dont listen, I ordered the $10 bacon & egg wrap with coffee, asked for 2nd egg, relish & extra shot in my keep cup, eat in, $11.50, now you would think thats pretty easy, NO, coffee came out in there takeaway cup, not my keep cup I supplied, wrap only had one egg & bbq sauce,, when I asked, they said, the extra $1.50 was because deal is only for small coffee, so a $1 for med cup, but they did not inform me of this, & what about 2nd egg I asked for & relish,??, thats very poor, this is not the 1st time I have been there & got a simple order wrong !!, never go there again, useless service, cant get a simple order right & dont inform you of Extra...
