Absolutely god awful. Went in there this morning for my 21st birthday breakfast, with a few friends of mine. This year has been particular rough for me so I wanted to have a great breakfast for my birthday. The customer service basically didn’t exist. After being seated we were very much forgotten about. After waiting for around 35 minutes they finally came over to grab our order. After ordering it was yet another 50 minutes till our food came out. All our food was cold and looked like it had been sitting there for a while. All the food was basically thrown at us from the waitress and 2 meals were forgotten about. When we questioned about our drinks we ordered they proceeded to claim we didn’t order any. We had to then re order our drinks which all came out wrong anyway. Again the waitress was rude and condescending. Once we had half finished our meals we proceeded to go pay and were surprised to see they wanted to charge us for double the drinks, and also 3 extra items we did not order. Absolutely disgusted in the way me and my friends were treated and the lack of customer service. I truly believe this has single handedly ruined my only 21st birthday I will ever get. So for that I say thanks. Wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy....
Read moreWhat a find, right here in my own backyard! This hidden gem should not be missed. The menu is seriously large for a Cafe, and we had trouble choosing what offering we wanted. I can appreciate they do this to cater to many tastes and budgets, however as a chef myself I felt dizzy thinking of the chefs in the kitchen when they get busy or have a large croud! (I'm not even kidding about the size of the menu, I would recommend you have a look on the website for the menu prior to your visit to get a better idea of what you might want). The food however was quick, tasty and decent in portion and presentation. A lot of it was pre-prepared food, like battered fish for example, however for a cafe (and with a menu that large) this is totally acceptable. The food was cooked fresh and served quickly, and at a bloody good price! (Hard to come by with the current cost of living crisis) The coffee was great, I asked for an oat milk latte and received exactly that! (Not a flat white trying to pass as a latte as is very common in Queensland). The servers are patient and very friendly, a real credit to the establishment.
Will be taking my wife to this location for breakfast/lunch more often. Thanks,...
Read moreDIFFERENT / NEW MANAGEMENT? Its been a little while since I was last at Cafe 63. The first thing I noticed was my coffee and breakfast bun cost $1 more. A few other observations.
COFFEE It doesn't taste the same. The coffee is weaker in taste, and I now understand why a work colleague stated earlier this week it tastes like dishwater.
BREAKFAST BUN No sauce. The man who took my order never asked if I wanted sauce, and I didn't think to ask.
SERVICE Efficient, but not friendly. I told him about my colleague's response re: coffee tasted like diswater. He said to tell them to say something next time they came. I responded they would not be back. I was letting him know. He didn't seem that concerned?
PROCESS ICKs Spoons in a glass of dirty water, on the right of the coffee machine used over, and over again.
Multiple Milk jugs on the left of the coffee machine, being used over, and over again. Its kind of turned me off going back.
I feel like the decision to set things out is one of time efficiency....maybe.
REPEAT CUSTOMERS WANT Friendly service, good coffee and to be asked if they want sauce on a breakfast bun.
I have decided that I will...
