I did a little research before deciding on Taya's Kitchen and I am really glad I picked this class. There were a variety of classes to select from and I went with the Thai for beginners class with my sister for her Birthday. Taya was very welcoming, she was easy going but still kept us on track. She has a good sense of humour and she makes you feel really comfortable in the kitchen. The tips she shared were valuable and there were plenty of them. She explained why you do things and what products to use to get the right result. She did this in a simple easy to remember way. She was great with alternatives for those with alergies and was confident that no matter your ability you were going to be a success in her kitchen. We made plenty of food and got to eat all of it anything we didnt eat we took home. The recipes were absolutely delicious. It is definitely value for money. My sister and I had a great day. I would go back again for another class.

Chef Taya's culinary school is absolutely brilliant! Her knack for simplifying and "Auzzie-afying" intricate Thai and other Asian cuisine recipes will ensure foolproof results every time. A lot of us try to wing it in the kitchen, especially with Asian flavours....Taya will teach you simple hints and tips that when you follow (which is the key), you can't stuff up! In addition, Chef Taya's warm personality makes learning a fun, cultural immersion filled with laughter, shared stories and masterful guidance. I've been to 4 of her classes, and will be back for more! Truely the best cooking class you'll ever attend. Embrace the opportunity and book a class. Trust me, you won't regret it!

What can I say, Chef Taya is amazing ! I just did the Vietnamese cooking class and it was so special! I loved her vibe in the kitchen and how she interacted with everyone. I have done other cooking classes and this has been the best ! I loved the small size of the class, it meant you got the time you needed & help with anything & got to ask questions. Chef Taya is so fun and makes cooking a breeze with her instructive way. Can I just say the vibe of the whole space is amazing !!! The table set up, the drinks you get to choose, the generosity of the portions and there was enough for left overs too Couldn’t recommend it enough !!!

Recently experienced Taya's Kitchen Thai Classics cooking class, It was a fantastic!

Each group of 2 people got to cook 5 dishes in total including an entree and an awesome dipping sauce. Class was really well run and you barely had to look at the cooking steps as Taya guided you through each dish making it really easy to replicate in the future.

The instructions and food was very practical and easy to do at home (no need for any super fancy gadgets or using super expensive ingredients you have never heard of). Taya made it really enjoyable as she was easy to talk to and provided a wealth of knowledge on the background of Thai cooking and general questions. Furthermore, Taya offered great advise on how to store all of the food (especially the pastes) to make it really easy in the future.

The food serving was PLENTIFUL, there was easily ample food for each group of two. Taya is more than happy for any left overs to be taken home and actively encourages it so ended up taking quite a substantial amount home.

Highly recommended to anyone looking for a cooking class, it was enjoyable, fun, you learn some cool stuff and you even...

Without a doubt one my most memorable experiences of my life to date. As a fitness lover, I am also a lover of good food; with Thai food being my favourite. Upon arriving in Taya's kitchen, I told her my favourite place to eat Thai in Brisbane was 'My Thai" in Auchenflower. Upon this confession my jaw dropped to discover that My Thai was in fact Taya's families business and the meals that we were about to cook were that of the famous "My Thai" kitchen. The food was flawless, but what made the experience even more memorable was Taya's humour, preparation and overall passion for cooking. Loved the fact that all products were explained in detail and came together like clock work at the end of the class. My mother and I rolled out of the door after the class with a full belly; only to have left overs to share with our family that night. Cannot recommend this experience enough! I have also already re-produced 3 recipes within a week of the class and have never been more inspired to cook and fall even more in love with Thai food than I am now after attending Taya's Thai Intermediate Class. ...
