Tank stream social is like the Disneyland for Coffee lovers. The industrial warehouse encloses everything you need to satisfy your coffee and food cravings.

Onsite there is a coffee machine repair centre (you can watch the guys at work through the workshop windows while you relax in the cafe), a “Coffee Playground” that entices you to test drive machines, grinders and alternative brewing techniques, and most importantly there is a large and inviting area for you to enjoy their cafe offerings. The atmosphere is very inviting, even inside there is a feeling of openness due to the high warehouse ceilings and the clever interior design.

The service is super friendly and attentive and i really encourage you to let the staff help you in exploring something different that your usual go to coffee. I am kicking myself that i didn’t try the bulletproof coffee or the Cascara cherry brew. It all looked and smelt amazing!

The food is equally matched with the coffee. Everything we tried was fresh and thoughtfully prepared. All the breakfast favourites are there; and a few variations on a theme for good measure.

There is a steady flow of patrons so expect the place to be busy but efficient.

I thought I had at last found a local where I could get a decent vegan option on this side of town for one family member when we go out to breakfast. Went last Sunday- no problems. He ordered toast on the side with the vegan nourish bowl. (The only vegan option) This week we returned and we were told toast as a side is not on offer anymore. First time ever anywhere in the world that I have been denied toast at a cafe serving breakfast! Very disappointing as nourish bowl is fresh and tasty but as it’s mostly salads, a younger person needs some extra carbs other than a scoop of rice to feel satisfied. Had to pick up something on the way home. Now back to driving further out of our area for our weekend breakfasts to cafes who are more accommodating- very disappointing.

I did enquire about vegan substitutes last week- specifically if there was a coconut yoghurt option for the toasted granola option or anything else and was told that there wasn’t. Coffee was wonderful and that’s where it ends. Poor customer service (reflected many a times in other reviews). Wrong food orders were brought around despite giving the table number. The last dish was brought out incorrectly three times despite clarifying what the actual item was. Waiting 45 mins (much after everyone else was done with their food) and still meal did not arrive. Had to clarify the situation 8 times to several different servers. Eventually had to ask for a refund because food did not arrive. Even at this time, a very disinterested apology and no means of compensation were offered. Shame that a customer of yours had to leave without eating any food!

FYI: Beside my food never arriving (which I could even consider a once off bad day), everyone sitting outside had their coffee and food orders brought to the wrong tables and eventually everyone just called out what they ordered (disappointing given they ask for a table number!)
