Took a bite into the burger and immediately noticed there was something off with the flavour. Went to smell the burger and immediately dry heaved was surprised considering, as a long time consumer of Hungry Jacks, and was surprised that it could have such a rancid taste/ smell. Concerned for the safety of others, called the store immediate to advise. Manger on duty answered the call and was immediately dismissive, had assured me the burgers were perfectly fine, 30 seconds into the conversation. Which was before I had even informed him which burger it was, that I had partially consumed. We ordered several different burgers and I had questioned him, how he knew which burger I was referring to, he did not know. I quickly got the sense the manager was not taking my claim seriously. As he advised there was nothing he could do without us presenting the burgers. Out of principal and for the safety of others, I reluctantly made the trip to return the burgers. Upon arrival, I was greeted by an employee who informed me that the manager was unable to speak to me as he was doing paperwork. She further stated that it was HJs policy to equip their staff to deal with complaints. I advised the employee that the manager had asked me to come down. Employee offered partial refund of the burgers that were brought back, even though only one bite was taken. No refund was offered for the rest of the meal, even after explaining our appetite was completely gone and I was now feeling sick. I told the employee that I didn’t feel my concerns were being heard adequately and that a partial refund was disrespectful. The manager returned after waiting sometime in the waiting bay. He assured me the burgers were fine and that a heat test was done on the returned burgers that assured him there was nothing wrong with them. At the end of the day, I was concerned that the burgers would make others ill. The defensive attitude lead me to believe the manager on duty does not take food safety seriously. After calmly explaining myself, the manager ended the conversation politely, however his immediate response was not the best. I sincerely hope no one else has the same experience tonight and if there are other reports, the manager takes them more seriously. I wish the best of luck to the staff on tonight and hope they learn something from...

I went in and ordered a cheesy omlette muffin and a sausage omlette muffin meal.
I was served by the Manager at the time a young lady she was very pleasant.
I ate my cheesy omlette muffin. That was all good. But then I opened the sausage omlette muffin and seen a little piece of left over burnt omlette which was no where as big as the cheesy omlette one. So I took it back to the counter and asked the girl serving at the time if this is standard omlette they put in the muffin and see she had one glance and said in a rude voice "yes". I then said the cheesy omlette had more and it was nice. She then grabbed my sausage omlette muffin and threw it in the bin and said in a sarcastic voice they will make another one.
The guy at the back made it. But gave it too me and it was a Cheesy Omlette with no sausage. I took it back again and said theres no sausage in here. She said the you only gave me a cheesy omlette. I said no. If you paid more attention and didnt have attitude and threw the other one away you would of seen it was a sausage one. She kept saying no it wasnt. I told her to look in the bin.
She took it back and got the guy to put a sausage in it. Then she looked in the bin to see. I told her. See I told you.
I am disgusted in her customer service that i recieved. I love Hungry Jacks and my Favourite burger of all time is the Bacon Deluxe. But this experience has really put a big question make in my head.
Im from a very large Pacific Islander family and we all love HJ. But I know that word of mouth can really ruin your reputation.
The girl that served me wasnt wearing a name tag. But I asked and she rudely said her...
Read moreTonight for the first time, we tried Hungry Jack's while living in Australia. We ordered the morphis whopper and grilled chicken whoper meal with no bacon. We asked them to make our order fresh. We were told to park on the side while they bring our order. Less than a minute later they bring out our food and both burgers and fries were cold. First bite on and we realised they gave us the wrong order. We returned burgers and asked for the correct order and fresh. The girl at the counter apologised and said she will bring fresh ones out shortly. Again after one minute, she bring 2 burgers that were not fresh and this time with bacon as well. The burgers seemed to be made a day ago as the bun was soaked with the juice from the veggies. We returned the burgers again and asked for refund. They looked us straight in the eye and said we just cooked these ones. They're fresh while burgers were cold like if they were taken out of fridge or left outside for hours. Got refund only for the burgers. They charged us $11.75 just for 2 coke and 2 small fries. I didn't check all of these negative reviews before I go to this branch of Hungry Jack's and now I am surprised why there are so many negative feedback but no one from Hungry Jack's is responding to these. I guess after all Hungry Jack's can't provide service to the level of McDonalds as they call them "American Burger Shop". Very...
