My sister shouted me lunch here for my birthday. Sushi Edo is a chain. First time at this location, but I've been to the CBD & Newmarket locations before. I was impressed by the layout. There were lots of booths available, and we were allocated one for our group of 3. There was also what I am describing as 'half booths' available for single diners or those in pairs. Great space saving idea. You can grab the dishes you like as they come past you, and you can also order items from the menu using the screen in the booth. The items we ordered off the menu arrived via conveyor belt at our booth. They use fresh and high-quality ingredients here. I rated the quality and freshness of the dishes that came out, including the sashimi. My sister tried the dumplings and said it was it udercooked. We told them about it & they apologised and didn't charge us for this dish. Was otherwise happy with the rest of this dining experience. It was quite busy. Reasonable wait times considering. You can also help yourself to hot and cold filtered water. I even scored a freebie on the way out. Happy 10-year...
Read moreElly would have to be the rudest person I have ever encountered in a restaurant!! I don’t really appreciate being told extremely abruptly “YOU MUST LEAVE” at 8.59pm, when we were clearly just finishing up. She came from out the back somewhere! There was absolutely no need for the terse manner she spoke to me! When I told her she was rude, she then proceeded to argue with me that I was told that the restaurant closed at 9pm. I had never spoken to her prior. I was never told anything… just that last order was at 8.30pm and I had 5 minutes to put my order in, which I duly did by 8.28pm!! We had just finished our food… had a glass bottle of fizzy drink explode all over us (accident by a staff member as he was restocking the drinks fridge)… then to have her raise her voice at us, even after we’d helped the staff collect all the glass off the seat and floor next to us!! I will not come back after all these years of supporting Sushi Edo at Cannon Hill! Very disappointed and I really don’t like to be spoken to the way she did. She should learn some damn manners and customer...
Read moreSushi Edo has been one of best sushi train chains we’ve been to for a while now. Been to the other locations in the CBD, Sunny Bank, New Market and Garden City. First time at this Cannon Hill branch! Food quality is the same standard compared to the other branches we’ve been to. Of course due to inflation their flat rate per plate has increased. Now back to this Cannon Hill branch, they have the automatic sushi delivery trail on the top and the normal conveyor belt train to grab off. This is the same concept at the sushi trains in Japan and they did a really great job with the layout. All we missing now is the mini game...
