Went to this restaurant for dinner as we were too lazy to go to Sunnybank or the city for more choice. Thought we would give this sushi restaurant a go as we have lived in Indooroopilly for 5 years and never tried here. First impression was ok, the décor was ok looked fairly clean and had a train and a robot serving the food (fun novelty which enticed us in). We ordered a few different sushi rolls off the tablet menu at the table and a waited. Some of the meals turned up quite fast within 5 -10 mins, then the rest or majority of the order turned up about 10 mins later. This is where the disappointment set in. We expected 8 different plates for all the different sushi rolls we had ordered but instead they were all bundled into 2 small plates. Very poor presentation, "how much does it cost to use separate plates for each dish? common?!" now feeding 4 customers the total with a bowl of Ramen on top was about 56 dollars give or take a few cents. This barely felt like an appetizer. We are not sumo wrestlers just 3 males and 1 female all normal size about size 34 waist males and a petite lady. Doesn't take much to fill us up even a Whopper from hungry jacks is a stretch to finish usually.

Overall the food portion, presentation in comparison to pricing is very poor. Perhaps Westfield is hiking up their rent every quarter... who knows?....

Overall 56 AUD worth of sushi would be between 4 of us in the downstairs sushi joint outside woolworths would pretty much be unfinishable. I would expect at least the equal serving per price at restaurant.

Final say perhaps try it out and then realise there are better options out there, when it comes to quantity and quality.

P.S. The salmon used was terrible texture was slimy and mushy like it had been frozen then defrosted too many times...

Some good, but mostly bad, and overpriced.

I’ll start with the good. The teriyaki chicken rice bowl is quite good, as is the sushi (though a little pricey). Everything else was way overpriced, and often overcooked (Burnt Taiyaki shown, with comparison to menu photo, and they didn’t seem to care when we indicated this).

For the price charged the portions should be larger, particularly the rice bowls. The Katsu don rice bowl was tasty flavour wise, but the egg was overcooked, as was the chicken. The sashimi was adequate, but really should be better given the quantity for the price. The Karaage was a disaster; it looked like Maccas chicken nuggets, and was completely overcooked, whilst costing way too much.

This was all after we waited for half an hour longer than needed, after been asked to wait for 10-15 minutes (a booth table was given to someone behind us, but we were then given another booth table after waiting for ages). All around, not a good experience. Only reason it gets a 2 instead of a 1 is because of the decent teriyaki rice bowl and the lemon lime bitters (as...

My partner and I came to this restaurant because of its nice atmosphere. But given the price of the dishes, the food was especially disappointing.

Ramen - the soup base was very bland.

Salmon sushis - the seafood didn’t taste fresh.

Oyakodon - the chicken tasted more like teriyaki chicken, not soft at all. Egg was just a hard cooked yolk in the middle of the bowl rather than spread all over the rice like it should be. It was also excessively salty.

Sticky rice cake - the crust was so hard that it tasted more like Mexican churros. Soybean powder was basically nonexistent, and the brown sugar was also given very little.

We thought given the restaurant was Chinese-run, the Chinese dessert would be authentic. They proved us wrong. What a shame; it’s neither an authentic Japanese or...

Awful service... Overcharged... and some Food Didn't Arrive! As we sat down, we were told we had only thirty minutes to order as the restaurant closed in an hour. We ordered and waited 20 minutes for some of our food. We ordered more and another twenty minutes. We had staff constantly wanting us out. Finally, the manager came up and told me to pay and leave. However, we still hadn't received our miso soup, so we waited almost 30 minutes. We were told it would be taken off the bill. Guess what... they forgot to take it off the bill. We complained and did get our money back. But after spending a couple of hundred bucks on sushi, two of the three people eating work at the shopping center. This poor service has guaranteed that none of us will be back. Good riddance
