Keith's on Cambridge — Restaurant in Brisbane City

Unfortunately, this is the worst meal that I've ever had at a restaurant. I came in with my family yesterday and ordered the bruschetta. What I received was not bruschetta, but a pile of watery tomatoes, avocado, halloumi, bacon, and unseasoned poached eggs on top of one soggy piece of sourdough with a side of fruit chutney. The fruit chutney was the only element of the dish that had any real flavour to it, and even though the sourdough was soggy, I found that the cutlery provided was so blunt that I couldn't cut through its crust. There was no salt or pepper provided to season the dismal meal, apart from a pepper grinder that I had to get up and retrieve and bring back to my table. I don't blame the workers for that, however, as they seemed to be remarkably understaffed. There appeared to be only one waiter working at the time we were there, and they were constantly rushing around to take orders, clear tables, and deliver meals, so I don't think it is their fault in that regard. I would've preferred a meal with fresh ingredients, seasoning, as well as salt and pepper provided at the tables. I also would prefer that the meal I received not be combined with the other elements, which when I ordered I assumed to be sides, not part of the main meal. 29/08/18 - I informed I have a Groupon voucher that is about to expire (31/08/18), and can I use the voucher by booking a Wednesday dinner (05/09/18). Received a lovely response that I can and was ecstatic.

05/09/18 - We drove there and the place is closed. It should have been a red flag that he didnt get my Groupon code in the first call.

09/09/18 - Called up to enquire regarding the situation where we drove all the way to the restaurant for dinner and it is closed, and want to know what happened. I thought it may be miscommunication and it is an easy fix. I was put aside without being given an answer. I said 'hello' for so many times and all I could hear was background noise, indicating that the phone was set aside and I was not welcomed.

The cafe is quite cute and the menu is pretty good. The service is rather slow. We've found most of the staff to be quite friendly except for the one occassion when we were served by the rudest waitress. She was rolling her eyes at and sighing loudly while my husband was deciding what to order. It was so very very rude that my very gentle spirited husband actually told her how appalled he was by her terrible attitude and we left immediately.
