Has to be by far my worst fast food experience. Spent a total of 45 minutes in the vicinity. Placed an order through the app, pressed "'I'm at the restaurant" about 15 minutes before I actually was, giving them decent time to prepare the food. Had to wait for almost 30 minutes anyway even though the place was empty. Upon arrival, I was told that they did not have a couple items - gravy and wicked wings. Happily had them swap with potato gravy and the original spicy/hot chicken. The deal purchased was the "Burger Feast" in which we ordered 2 zinger bacon and cheese burgers and 2 supercharged wraps. There was some delay on the fries (remember this). Finally took the order and almost drove away. Remembered that last time they forgot to add two items so felt the need to check (and good thing). Two of the burgers were missing. Went back inside and was told that they did not have the zinger patty or lettuce. So instead of telling me and offering something else, just don't give me what was paid for:) When I asked what else they can do, I was told that they can do original chicken + hot sauce on the burger, which I agreed to. By this point, the tiny paper bag they had chose to use for ALL THAT FOOD was also falling apart. One of the wraps had opened and the chicken had fallen out. However, I could not be bothered spending another 10 minutes getting that fixed. Had them give me a bigger bag and put everything inside myself. Finally when we got home, the burgers did not have any bacon or cheese. Just original patty and hot sauce. The buns were far from fresh. Two boxes of fries - one of them freshly made (the one we waited for) and the other seemed like super old fries that were left in oil for too long and then stayed under the fresh batches of fries for hours and hours. Overly salted and falling apart, we had to throw it out. If they choose to make more fries, why not just do two fresh boxes? The chicken we received were in two boxes: one of them okay, the other included 1 original recipe chicken and 1 chicken tender (the kind they put in wraps). At this point, is the staff even trying?? Then had to wait a further 12 minutes to get the food. So much for ‘fast food’, I could have defrosted a chicken and cooked it myself within the same time. Pick up your game KFC Acacia Ridge!
14/02/2022 - so we ordered KFC through the KFC app waited approximately 45 minutes to an hour before we thought it was odd that our food had not been delivered or the app updated. It took a phone call to the restaurant to find out that they can not do anything as there is some emergency and they had to close down. After we got in contact with them, they then told us there is nothing they can do so our food that WE paid for was just sitting there and nothing could be done about it. We were then told to call doordash who were just as unhelpful and told us that apparently getting our money back was classed as ‘compensation’ what an absolute joke! Had we not have been in contact with KFC initially we would not have known what the hell was going on and that the food we paid for was never coming. So it takes the customer to not only PAY for their food but also FOLLOW it up because you as a business are too SLACK and to be fair all the so called ‘staff’ there need to actually finish school before getting behind the counter and thinking they know it all. Read moreThis is without a doubt the worst fast food store I have ever been to. They never fail to set new lows. The staff are rude and clearly not well managed. Most of the time they will say they are out of food. If you pull up to the speaker box, they will say they’re out of chicken, then when you say you have an app order, magically they will say they can make it for you. Just complete laziness and incompetence. I have worked fast food before so I am not without perspective. Spend your money literally anywhere else.
Last time I ordered the chips were hard and undercooked. The order was just completely wrong. The chicken was warm on the outside, and cold and solid on the inside. We couldn’t eat any of our order for fear of food poisoning. Called the store and was told to contact Menulog. I’m pretty sure they weren’t the ones who undercooked my food. If ordering delivery, make sure you pay through PayPal, because you will almost certainly need to request a refund.
98% of KFC stores are franchises. This one is a dud. I hope to learn witchcraft with the sole purpose of cursing whoever is involved with the management of this place.
