We ordered the mixed kothu porotta and the porotta in it was still in big chunks rather than diced up and mixed like a normal kothu porotta should be like. It didn't blend well with the gravy, chicken and beef pieces and was soggy chunks. They used to be better a few years ago. The normal porotta was soft and fluffy and was pretty decent size. Chilli chicken was tasty and had a good amount of chicken and gravy. We also tried prawn roast/ masala. The gravy was tasty and there was plenty of it, but the prawns weren't really shallow fried and it didn't blend well with the gravy. Also gravy to prawn ratio was way off. There was also some kind of party going on and the guests were pretty drunk & loud. It was a good gesture (and common practice) by one of the staff to ask for any further orders before closing the kitchen... but as soon as it was 9:20pm another staff came and told us that they were closing the restaurant at 9:30pm and it felt like she was indirectly telling us to hurry up. Have never seen this in another restaurant. Overall pretty average experience... Food was okayish but definitely not up to the price of what is charged.

Last night at Pepperbite Indian was an experience I won't soon forget—mostly because my taste buds are still in shock. The food looked like it had been marinating in its own existential crisis for a lifetime. Let’s talk about the salad. I ordered it expecting a refreshing crunch, but what I got instead was an entire red onion chopped into rings so large they could double as hula hoops. Who on Earth can eat an entire raw onion? I felt like I was preparing for a contest nobody signed up for! And then there was the curry, which must have been simmering since the last time the restaurant was actually busy. Mixing that with the onion was a bold move—bold enough to potentially clear out a room with the ensuing flatulence! Overall, my experience at Pepper Indian was not what I would call the best. More like a culinary rollercoaster that took a wrong turn into the realm of regret. If you’re looking to spice up your life, maybe try a different restaurant—unless you’re in the mood for a new definition of “hot” that involves your stomach and friends taking a step back!

This WAS our favourite restaurant and referred to many friends but unfortunately had couple of bad experiences back to back! I have to put the comment here since it was not handled positively when the feedback was provided directly.

Ordered chicken dum Briyani for takeaway but received rice mixed with chicken gravy. Called the restaurant to just provide the feedback but he was adamant that it was dum Briyani and no one complained it. we explained that we have tasted the dum Briyani for many times and sure it was not the one we got that day.. He did later accept that there was a communication gap while taking the order but didn’t apologise and advised to order it clearly to the staff which we did anyway.

Today ordered fish curry (mulakittathu) but received fish Malabar, after tasting when we asked they said they don’t make fish mulakittadhu anymore. What a response?! She is expecting the customer to accept that they don’t have fish mulakittadhu instead to have Malabar fish curry though the former was available in the menu and waitress took the order. We had the curry which we didn’t intend to eat at all and paid for it! This time the staff apologised and again was not willing to replace with different one instead that she told that she will inform the owner to remove the mulakittadhu version from the menu.

In both the cases, I see the drive for charging the customer without providing what the customer wanted, customer service is greatly missing ! Hope these situations gets...
