KFC Deagon — Restaurant in Brisbane City

Had a really bad experience at KFC Deagon. I placed an order for a zinger burger meal with additional zinger patties online by paying additional amount. When I went to collect they said they don’t have zinger patties and they can give original. I was keen on patties so they said it would take 10 more mins if it needs to be prepared. I waited probably more than 20 mins( double the time ) and when I took it home to enjoy my meal, only to find the bigger was super salty and I have had zinger burgers and patties for years and this was beyond salty and felt as it it was done on purpose and when I called the next day to complain they didn’t seem to bother and neither was there any apology.

Worst experience so far and CANT think of ever going again with such staff and experience. ——————— As on @20th Jan 2025 - Would like to add an update. The KFC customer service Deagon reached out and offered to make amends by offering a voucher for another experience. Visited it today and the difference was evident with the staff and food. The staff were cordial, friendly and accomodating.Also the food was freshly made and not crazy salty as last time. I'm gonna do three reviews, in tribute to three of this establishments finest employee's who should be promoted immediately. The first shout out goes to Brad Silke. When I walked into the store after a terrible day, I walked up to the counter, and suddenly I knew everything was going to be okay, because Brad was there. He greeted me with his smile and angelic laugh, and it changed not only my day, but my life. Ever since this day, I've never eaten at any restaurant other than KFC Deagon, and I only visit on days when I know Brad will be working. It turns out I can't write three separate reviews so here come some more thank you's. While Brad might be a legend of KFC, his less cool brother Ben is also kinda good, He flips burgers like no other man alive, and I could taste the love that went into his flipping in every bite, but I'm a bit concerned with his tattoo's and think he should either remove them or cover them up because they intimidate me. The third thank you goes to Jesse, for providing me with impeckable chicken, and an unforgettable KFC experience that will never be forgotten. We ordered a big dinner for lunch and all hot & spicy and to have 4 wings. Fortunately when collecting our order we checked it before we left as we found it just original. So of course we took it back to get it changed and asked if there were 4 wings that we requested, yes was the reply. We drove to our picnic spot to eat only then to discover that the chicken was; only, over cooked, looked old even, the oil had been using many times and there was only 1 wing out of 7 pieces instead of 8, well actually it was only half a wing. The chips weren't that good either only and 3/4 full. My wife was very disappointed with our meal. So much so she took many photos and then finally called the store to complain. Ellen ? (the person who answered the phone) said that if any not eaten come back to the store and they maybe give something in exchange. Since it was late afternoon, kids were hungry, and no point go back to get 1 and half piece old chicken and not wanting to rush back before 4pm (when she finishes her shift) we don't want more of that same crap kids ate so why bother.
