Good place to enjoy the beautiful Queensland weather in the early morning! You can enjoy tasty hot and cold drinks or eating breakfast, having a chat with friends or co-workers while listening to birds twitter will have a good vibe at 7:00 in the morning. However, there are no indoor areas, which means no protection from heavy rain, no air conditioner during hot summer and low temperature season and bird's attitude. The feature that I like the most in this coffee shop is that this place always maintains the cleanliness of the shop and the comfort of their customers. This may be biassed but as a Vietnamese, I honestly recommend to try Pho (Beef Noodle soup) and Banh Mi (Vietnamese bread rolls - you can imagine it as a Sub in Vietnamese style), the most famous dishes from Vietnam. Enjoy!

used to be good pre-pandemic now it taste like cheap food with an expensive price tag ordered pho 15$ iced thai milk tea $5.3 requested no coriander to the cashier lady. she replied there’s only spring onion, no coriander is in the pho. turns out they can’t differentiate between spring onions and coriander iced thai milk tea- powdered. didnt even mix properly with first sip being powder in my mouth and it stains the cup intensely orange. beef pho (see pics) - clumped broken noodles (taste more like rice noodle balls), chili wasn’t fresh (gave chili sauce??), 2 pieces of beef slices that were very chewy and 1 beef meatball which is likely frozen. i wouldn’t eat it again even if it was free.

Great menu, efficient and friendly service. Comes highly recommended by regular staff. Mixed Bun was “okay”. The fried bits were good, the beef bit was terrible (chewy, dry, odd flavour. Did not eat.) and overall it would benefit from more lettuce and veg. Tidy setup, with water and cups, coffee prep station etc. Would def try another menu item next time. No surcharge on card payments is a winner! 🙌 But so close to the lakes this is a gem!

Extremely rude staff member. I am a International UQ student with a physical disability. I wanted to fill my water bottle with cold water because there was piping hot water inside and the water fountain was too weak to fill my water bottle with. My friend accompanied me to the restaurant in front of our course building and helped me to fill the bottle with two small cups of cold water from the water jugs in front of the restaurant because we were careful not to contaminate the water with my water bottle. However, after managing to fill my bottle with one cup of water, a very rude waiter (Asian man in his late 40s) approached us and snapped at us, saying that we were making a mess and that we had to leave. What struck was the way he conveyed this information. Although the other staff members were quite polite whenever we were at the restaurant, this particular staff member was absolutely rude and had horrendous manners! He was not service-minded at all. Hope the managers and UQ can see this message because we will never step in this place ever again!! Very...
