Came to Le Bab Lounge for dinner with my family. My grand father is normally a picky man of his generation but he absolutely loved the food, we all did really! We started off with the Mezes, which were phenomenal. We had the Calamari, the Haloumi, the Prawns (these were everyone’s FAV) and the Hommus and Pita bread. We had the most beautiful server, i can’t quite remember her name, but she was young and so very wonderful at her job. Management please give her a pat on the back. She came round and made sure everything was to our liking, topping up or drinks and clearing the table, truely 10/10 service. She also managed to make my Grandfather laugh and gave us a great experience. My partner and i had the Lamb and Chicken Shawarma and the rest of my family had the Lamb Cutlets. Both Shawarmas were filled with flavour, good portions and at a great cost. My family couldn’t stop raving about the Lamb Cutlets, and the bit i tried was to die for. The potatoes that came with the Cutlets were mouth watering (although spicy if you can handle it). The cocktails were great too! My cousin and i had the Electric Smurf and the Blue margarita and they were so great! Although, if i can provide any feedback at all, not criticism, it would just be that the wine options weren’t the greatest but ALSO weren’t the worst. All in all, everything was fantastic. Thank you to the beautiful team there, we will definitely see you again. The epitome of a good dining...
Read moreI recently dined at Lebab Lounge and had an enjoyable experience. The trio of dips with bread was a delightful start; the bread was slightly crispy, and the hummus, though average, was solid. The capsicum dip stole the show with its delicious freshness and a subtle hint of spice, earning a solid 5/5. The eggplant dip had an overpowering smoky flavor but still earned an 3.5/5.
For entrees, the crumbed calamari rings with garlic aioli were perfectly pleasant and delicious, scoring a 5/5. Moving on to mains, the chicken shish received an 4/5 for its perfectly seasoned chicken and a fresh salad, though slightly underdressed. The lamb sharwama, while good, had a sauce that slightly overpowered the lamb, earning it a 3.5/5
The atmosphere at Lebab Lounge was top-notch with a perfect 5/5, and I highly recommend exploring the diverse selection of entrees for a full dining experience. The drinks menu is a crowd-pleaser, offering classic and themed cocktails. The staff were warm, friendly, and provided prompt and pleasant service, creating an easy and intimate atmosphere even in a full restaurant. After dinner we were offered some Turkish delight when paying the bill, after trying I regret not ordering this for dessert. It was delicious!
Overall, Lebab Lounge offers a diverse culinary journey, and while some dishes may have room for improvement, the overall experience was exceptional and I highly recommend trying this suburban...
Read moreThis is the most horrific middle eastern food I have ever eaten. If I could give this place a -5 that’s where my rating would sit. My partner and I had the lebab special for two, the lamb was chewy tasteless and dry, the chicken was tasteless and under cooked. The fatoush salad was not a fatoush salad, balsamic vinegar does not belong on fatoush salad. The dips where absolutely disgusting, we had the haydari and the mountable. The haydari was just plain sweet yoghurt with no garlic lemon or mint flavour and the mountable (which is suppose to be baba ghanoush) had a foul chemical taste to it. The batta barra was one small chat potato cut in half and extranet oily. The two small pieces of calamari where extremely soggy and cold, the olives tasted like they belonged on a domino’s pizza and the bread was dry stale. When we went to pay the young girl didn’t ask us about the meal and tried to charge us a 10% public holiday surcharge (when it’s not a public holiday so I don’t know how many customer where ripped of on the 30th March) I have never ever wanted to walk out of a restaurant and not pay before. This place is beyond disappointing, do not waste your time...
