VERY DISAPPOINTED
I had my 30th party at tetto on the 17/12/22 from 3PM to 7PM (day time, remember that) I would not recommended this place to anyone for a party or event. It’s was very unorganised, Hardly any communication was made prior to my party via email, I had to chase them for everything
One huge let down was the area I hired! I hired the “POSITANO ALFRESCO” (bar area with the umbrellas) I was under the impression that I had the whole area as it stated on the venue layout when choosing which section I wanted to hire out. When I get there, 1/4 of the space was sectioned off for us. They told me they done that because I didn’t have 120 people even though that area is for 120 people standing OR 50 people seated. I had 40 people but I was never asked if I wanted my guest seated or standing? There weren’t any seats available for anyone to sit on anywhere! My mum had to go find one herself. Was I told that prior to my party, that I would only get a tiny little section of the whole area? No I did not!!!!
About 30 minutes after we arrived my little brother who is 22 was asked for ID randomly which he forgot to bring (his fault) Keep in mind this is a day time party from 3pm-7pm. They made him leave!!!!! 55 minute taxi home at 4pm because he did not have his ID on him. It’s not like it was late at night. What if we were at your venue for dinner as a family, would he not be aloud in? Absolutely ridiculous! I read through the terms and conditions and it states that minors can stay until 8pm but my brother couldn’t? Interesting.. They also didn’t ask anyone else there for ID, Not even my 18 year old little sister! Just my brother who I believe was judged the second he walked in. Disgusting
They ran out of mid strength beers 20 minutes into the party, my partner only drinks mid strengths so that was a big let down. There is a bottle shop right downstairs but of course they didn’t go get any.
My older sister brought balloons which they would not allow us to bring in as they were not approved by the events manger prior.
Speaking of the events manager I don’t remember his name but he was very cold towards me the whole time and did not say sorry about anything. Just looked at me with a plain look on his face and basically said too bad about everything! He didn’t care what so ever. There was one lady there that did try to smooth things over with me, she was very nice and said sorry a number of times for all the stuff ups but sorry its just not good enough. I still felt the need to write a review to give the head up for others that may book this place
For the food I picked 6 canapés from the menu and there were 2 out of the 6 were not what I selected. I don’t have anything bad to say about the food other then the beef sliders were a little cold.
Also they didn’t bring my cake out until about 15 minutes before they kicked us out so that was very rushed and as soon as it hit 7pm not one person could get anymore drinks, they kicked us out as fast as they could.
Do yourselfs a favour....
Read moreI was there last Saturday 14th November with three more ladies. We were a group of mums whose children go to the same school and were very happy to finally going out after a long break due to Covid restrictions. When we arrived the place seemed packed and we were grateful that one of us booked a table online for 5:30 pm. We sat down and ordered delicious drinks following by food. I can recommend the Virgin Mojito mocktail since it was a very hot late afternoon/beginning of evening and the fresh mint and lime taste of the drink was really refreshing. There is also the alcoholic version cocktail but I opted for the no alcohol version. The food arrived pretty quick: delicious Italian meat platter, fried halumi, assorted olives and tasty pop corn gnocchi dusted with parmesan cheese. After a hour and 45 minutes, a lady came and asked if we wanted to order more drinks and we happily agreed since it was lovely to be there with nice atmosphere and music. The drinks came and I started to enjoy my aperol spritz. After two sips, a different waitress came telling us we needed to leave in 15 minutes because the table was booked for two hours only. The lady of my group, who booked the table online, said there was nothing written about 2 hours only on the website. The waitress replied that was a standard policy and we needed to leave in 15 minutes. We agreed with disappointment and started finishing quickly our drinks. Suddenly another waitress came to us and asked if we wanted to order more food. We kindly said that apparently we needed to leave in 10 minutes. Two minutes after the waitress left and while looking sadly at my quick almost finished aperol, another waitress came and asked us if we wanted to order more drinks. That was a real torture! We also explained to the waitress we had to leave and we stood up going towards the cash to pay. The lady who booked the table explained the situation to the lady at the cash and this replied once again it is their standard policy...but we let her noticed that none of the staff apparently knew it since they were asking us to order more food or drinks. The place was full and lots if people were waiting on the stairs to come in,. We suspected the place wanted more free tables to allocate more people and that the two hours maximum stay was a little easy excuse to send people out and get more in. Shame because the place is nice but it would be lovely to also find kindness and good manners there as the downstairs...
Read moreWent to the Bottomless Brunch yesterday, and it was disappointing, considering it was $80. I was planning on giving it 3 stars as I thought it must have been the 1st time they've held this type of event, but as I came here to type this review, I see they've had quite a few, so there's no excuse for the poor organisation.
Definitely not bottomless. When we 1st sat down we were told that you could go up and get a cocktail with the voucher, which there was no choice except Margheritas (which I don't like so gave to my friend). Standing in line for the Margheritas was 15mins. Then you have to stand in line for the appetizers buffet. This was nice, sandwiches, cheese and meat platters etc. Then I went in line to get our 1st round of drinks. Waited for just short of 20mins, when I finally get to the counter I was told they are only serving the Margheritas for those who haven't had them yet. I said, "don't you think you should've told us all that before we wasted 20mins in line!!" Then one of the bartenders nicely said, no worries, what would you like, I made my order and then was told, everyone who is at your table needs to come up to get their own drink .... Augh ... so back I go and bring everyone back with me. Something else you should've been told at the start.
A little while later we get a couple of plates of hot food delivered to our table (2 each of duck spring rolls, pumpkin arancini balls, chicken skewers), and that was it. They weren't bad, though the chicken was raw inside, and again, not bottomless ... but then no-one ever came back to clear the plates, which made the flies hang around. We ended up stacking them and putting to the side, but I couldn't believe they were never cleared.
I’m glad I gave it a try, but I wouldn’t recommend it. You’ll definitely get better value for your money if you just go for a regular meal and pay for...
