Further update, got charged twice. I emailed them from within the app and didn't hear back. 4 days later I called and they unashamedly told me to send them my statement -to prove that I wasn't trying to rip them off. Very disappointing and frustrating. The least the staff member could do was check that 2 minutes after the app purchase I made the same order at the drive through.
It's not fast food if I have to stuff getting things fixed 4 days later.
2nd review: Another attempt at McD Sandgate. Further disappointing. Drive thru, app failed, had to make payment at window. Got home, didn't have all items! Burgers obviously slapped together. See photo.

Read moreWe frequent this McDonald’s in Sandgate and we have never had a good experience. The customer service is subpar, the employees never seem to want to be alive. The food is cold and seems to be sitting around for a while. The burgers are thrown together and there are never any pickles on any burger ever unless we have asked for pickles. It seems as though no one at this restaurant knows what goes on each burger as they are always missing an ingredient. Drinks have also been incorrect, receiving Vanilla Coke instead of plain coke. This all has happened over the last 6 visits and has ruined the experience at McDonald’s. We use to love maccas but it seems they don’t care about quality anymore and we won’t be visiting any restaurant in the future. I would have submitted feedback via the app or the website but it keeps coming up with an errors. Almost as if they don’t want to hear what customers have to say....
Read moreUber Eats order. Missing one lot of fries. Bacon Angus burger was missing the bacon and cheese, had one piece of pickle the size of a 50c piece, and drowned in sauce.
Spent a long time trying to call before someone finally answered the phone. Apparently there is nothing McDonald's can do about a refund on an Uber order, it is up to the customer to request a refund via Uber.
They are also unable to arrange for food to be delivered, so the only options would be for the customer to come into the store at the time (defeats the point of Uber Eats, we didn't have a car that night), or to come into the store another time and they would leave a note to receive the items for free.
2 main issues - the burger order made up by McDonald's was pretty repulsive, and the fact that McDonald's has no option for resolving an incorrect order via Uber Eats.
